wouldve thought trade bait for both of all 3 players mentioned, 6 players gone, none of these blokes really have an influence on game apart from maybe leon davis when he bobs up every month or so and kicked 3 or 4 in 1 game and wins us the match

I might be alone here but I thought Leon has shown some glimpses whilst being on the ball but a 1 year "Playing for your spot" contract would have been appropriate.

I think that is what they should probably offer Woey as well!
 
Last season Richard Cole finished 5th in our best and fairest. I still think he has plenty of potential and plenty of good football in him. If he hits the track hard over the summer in the gym and with his running i think Richie will be in our best team and be a good contributor for the team. Even if he does not get back to the top of his game he does add depth to our list we we have lacked in years past, there is no point to delisting the entire team with the depatures of King, Lokan, Shaw, and a few more to come I think its a good idea to keep him on the list.

As for Leon great idea to keep him not only to add depth but next year he can be a spark off the bench to throw on the ball for 5-10 a quarter and up forward roving off the likes of Tarrant, Buckley, Rocca, Didak, and Trav
 
Good points,
we cant get rid of ewveryone. We want to try and get into a position where the likes of: Davis, Cole, Woewodin will be squad players bobbing up form time to time when we have injuries, suspensions or bad form.
I dont think they would have cost us much either so it isnt a bad idea.
I think we showed with a fully fit list what we can potentialy do in 02/03 and the past 2 years we were found out when we did have injuries.
Our best bet is to get rid of the players that have been in the system a few years that have shown nothing at all!

I tend to agree about Cole.

Apparently he was flying in the pre-season but just couldn't put it together when it counted.

I still think he can be a good player, but he really needs a kick in the ass. Will anyone at Collingwood deliver it?

This contract may well be his last and he could still be cut next year.

Assuming some other players are up for trade, with 6 gone already, it is impossible to get rid of every dud in one year.
 
As Dermie said on SEN you sign them up and that gives you more strength when trading them. If you don't sign them, they can resisit the trade and go into the PSD for nothing.

Richie has had injury problems this year, originally when i read this i thought why, as everyone else has, but what lachystar has written makes sense

although, id think cole will be at the Lexus Centre next year anyway

Collingwood have the worst list in the AFL - I hope you keep all your hacks - O'Bree, Davis, Cloke (x2), Walker, Cole, Dudak etc etc

being DUdkins you'd have to be begining balmey and co to give Cole another chance! because if we used pick 11 to get cole and we trade him for next to nothing we would be at a massive loss, not mention missing out on delsanto at pick 13! In such a good draft to pick the only dud in the top 13 is a massive achievment! However i think they no he can play the will may not just be there but that will come, i hope!

I'd rather a club that bleeds on grand finals losses than a club that celebrates itself on playing in meaningless elimination finals. Who were you guys kidding this year?
