Tazza_20 you have got to be kidding, lacking in height? Sure we could use ONE young key defender but this should not be the main focus. Look at the friggen midfield, we have got to replace Buckley, Burns, Woewodin, Morrison. Licuria, Holland, O'Bree are all good (O'Bree is crap but in good form) but are the same type of inside player. Even with some great youngsters we are 1-3 good midfielders off becoming a threat in the next few years.
Look at our talls, Walker, Wakelin, Davidson, Tarrant, Rocca, Fraser, Rusling (probably be turned into HFF/Winger), B.Morrison, C.Cloke, T.Cloke, J.Cloke, Prestigaicomo, Hall. The only players in the regular 22 that we need to replace that are tall in the short to mid term are Rocca, Wakelin and perhaps Presti (not as old as people think but injuries will slow him down). Clement has remained relatively injury free in his career and seems like the type of player who will last a while. Presti should still be around in 3 years time so its not an immidiate concern but Wakelin is. 1 key defender might be needed in this draft but we have a plethora of young key forwards.
If we have at least 5 picks in the draft we should use as follows.
Round 1. Highly skilled mid
Round 2: Dashing mid
Round 3: Ready made KPP that IS or can be turned into defender
Round 4: Some other mid
Round 5: another midfielder/flanker or even a ruckman.
