What a great article, covered just about everything that has been wrong with the stewardship of the game over for many years, and the sometimes sick hypocrisy of the corporate world.
Let’s hope that any attempt to give this bloke a typical kiss-arse corporate send off at AFL events are met with more content like this.

How completely apt was the cackhanded, ill-considered and generally crappy toast Goyder made last night? You could be forgiven for thinking a man who has so resolutely fallen upwards would have at least a little talent. **** no. Brain dead boys club bullshit from a bloke no one feels particularly happy about having in the the club.

Not only did he stuff up the speech, he also walked around in the background as Rowell was being interviewed
.I just saw Essendon president Barham stepped down after 3 years and only a slight hint of a challenge, yet this clown Goyder has been on the commission for 14 years and chair for 9 or so and still won't piss off. The arrogance is incredible, especially for someone that's done such a shit job. He is now going to ensure the AFL don't get the best candidate, but the one that will placate him the most.
