What we've done very well is identify talent from other clubs who, mainly due to injury, haven't been able to make the grade at their original club. You have a look at the likes of Cloke, Scotland plus a few others in the past like Spaulding, Lappin and perhaps French, they were generally very good players who left for more opportunities or because they were de-listed. Then Carlton came along.
Hadley is obviously a very good player, very injury prone but played in a premiership in what, his 14th match? Remember also that Brisbane were very reluctant to let him go, and to trade him for pick no.52 only is a huge bargain.
Darren Pfeiffer is looking like a good player for us too, he was also wretched with injuries during his time at Adelaide but then we came along and will probably only improve further.
