Denzil (AFL Unofficial Ranting Board - http://www.elevenoclock.com/forums/aflranting) reports that Richardson left the field during today's internal hit-out with a leg injury.

Denzil suggests the injury does not look too serious, and that he was not stretchered off.

If anyone hears anything more, please post here.

Two weeks is a long time in football.....Still can't believe it.

So, any other news come from the intra-club match? Any good performers, poor performers, noted players missing in action?

According to www.afl.com.au:

Richardson will miss 3 weeks with a jarred knee. A specialist confirmed no damage to the anterior cruciate ligament.

Oh well, 3 more weeks for every other part of his body to heal.

We may well be very confident coming into this season, but as soon as any mentions the 'i' word we suddenly become very nervous!

According to the footage I saw on t.v it looked like a similar hyper-extension to the incident at the SCG although not quite as pronounced. Apparently there isn't any swelling which is considered a good sign. I must say that I was surprised that he was playing in the first place. Was that a cow paddock they were playing on? Looked sh1thouse!!

i was there and only 20 mtrs from wherte richo went down my 1st reaction was his foot again but looks like he only jarred his knee thank god of the 2 if it was his foot id have serious doubts if we would ever see richo in the yellow and black again so i supose while it didnt look good at the time it looks likely he will be fine.
as for the game the 1st half was of a good standard the 2nd less a/c rain but 2 players who stoodout of the younger brigrade were mills who was in everything and petifer who seems to have fitted in nicely.without trying not to put big raps on the lad but what i saw of him he looks like a ready made seniors player already.
fiora played well thru out the game and did some nice things while paddy stienfort did enuff to suggest his days as just a ressie player is over.
tivendale impressed along with haynes.
overall apart from the richo injury danny would be pleased with the boys effort.
cheers!

Tiger_of_Old, That sounds very encouraging. Were you surprised that Richo was playing in a game like this?

The article in Realfooty.com suggested that Pettifer kicked a few nice goals. Were the crumbing type goals?

Also happy to hear that Mills, Fiora & King have regained touch straight away after long term injuries. Nice review

thanks omh.well id say if richo wasnt coming back from injury id say he would have been rested maybe but with him out for so long i guess it was wise to get him back into the fold and to judge where he is at.i dont know what the plans were for him on friday maybe play only a half or 3 quaters but well we know what happen .also we had hilton, duncan, benny, dragga, james not playing as well so it was more of a case of playinbg richo.
as for petifers 2 goals if i remeber corectly one was from roving the pack and the other was from a handball from knighter also he took a great grab cotesting with belive it or not otto altho id say it was more of otto being a bit slack than anything but overall it was a good mark.
roll on 2001 i cant waut.
cheers!
