Data from footywire. To check the draft order see the thread here.

Footywire says: "While we make every effort to keep up to date with player contracts, it is likely that our data may at times be out of date, incomplete or inaccurate. If you find any player contracts that need updating, please let us know using our brand new contract submission form."

8 games would be a great resut but you're underestimating how long a full rebuild takes.
I believe they’re further along their rebuild than most fans understand.

They have a good core of solid to good role players in their squad, in the 22 to 26 age group, that could become better players as the team and talent improves.

8 games would be a great result. I agree with juss in the range. I actually have 4-8 wins coz injuries etc could derail the team. But our 5ish year players seem to be stepping up which will dramatically change the list depth.

On the BF Tiger board there is some picking of teams for round 1. The interesting thing is that we will be leaving out genuinely good AFL quality players this year. That wasn't true going into last year (damn that squad looked shallow). So I can see the Tigers winning more games due to 1) greater depth and maturity, and 2) a more complete and better drilled game plan. Last year Ooze said our game plan was bare bones to allow the kids to do it, and we were rebuilding it year by year. Training reports this year are the game plan looks much better than last. So the footy gods willing, the RFC will be significantly better this year than 2025. And given the turmoil at a few clubs that might bode well. But with a young team lots can go wrong, as well as right.

Anyway, you have to think that our rebuild actually 'started' in 2021ish with drafting a lot of talent. Mostly a slow burn. But they are getting there, and if they can step up, and their pre-seasons have shown them to be fitter and better than before. I am glass 1/2 full. But I can understand why you would be 1/2 empty, guys like Sonsie have been flashes of talent rather than genuine quality so far. We'll see, but I am excited this year to see what we bring and how we progress.

Oh I agree with a lot of this. There a huge difference between 4 and 8 wins though. 8 wins It puts Richmond firmly ahead of St Kilda, Essendon and Melbourne.

That's not where they're at.

Whilst the excitement of seeing the training vids and the young Ferrari's on the ground is nice
But reality is that most are 2md year players and will still need another 1-2 seasons to start showing what they can do
Richmond did very well for a club that lost Baker , graham , Rioli , Pickett , Grimes , Boton and champs like Dusty , jack , Trent the year before to win 5 games in year 1 of a rebuild.

But im expecting a year where we win 4/5 games with an improved percentage and still finish bottom 2-3
I cant see Richmond getting to 8+ wins for another 2 seasons and 2028 would be more at that level
But i am excited and patient seeing the kids we have and adding another 6-8 more over the next 2 years then have a list that has the next 10-12 years of the team already at the club
