I'd like to point out that the only way Duursma remains on the board past our first 2 picks is if we trade 2 away. A lot of Eags fans are looking at Sharp with 1 (my preference), given our midfield struggles. If we stick and pick I struggle to see it being anyone other than Duursma or MAYBE at a stretch Lindsay. If Phillipou is a late bolter off SANFL form then I'd actually prefer him over Worm.

I think we take best available so it will be one of Sharp, CDT or Thillam. Then we need to take one of Lindsay or Grijl for need I think

Think it will be hard for Sharp to slip past the eagles. Unless something changes between now and draft time there would be riots in the streets of Perth if we didn’t take Sharp

We need, in no particular order:

• A long term ruck - CDT
• Midfield run and carry - Durrsma, Grilj, Phillipou etc
• Strong defensive midfielder, who also gets the ball (to be a long term replacement for Prestia, Hopper and TT) - Sharp

So effectively with our first pick we get whoever falls out of Sharp, CDT or Duursma. Then depending on who we got we pick the next best. So if we get Durrsma we might take Lindsay for kicking skills. If we get CDT we might take Grilj.

Whatever WC do we take the next best of the top 3 cause they all are major needs. Then whoever that is likely drives our next pick.


We don't need another KP or HBF.

We are also getting Kellaway. He is a solid mid who does everything well, and feeds the next possession really well.

Without knowing what WC will do but assuming Dursma is gone, if we can get 2 of, Grjl, Cumming and Sharp, I reckon we have done very well and filled some needs with exactly the types we need.

Considering Duursma is a rumored flight risk I think Tigers can get Duursma & Duff-Tyler. I think Eagles will trade pick 2. Pick 1 Probably Sharp.

Pretty much what we're thinking.

We'd be dumb to take CDT, considering we have a lot of his type already.

The other possibility is how desperate Essendon are for one of Duursma/CDT, considering they potentially look like having 3x top 10 picks if the Draper compo nets them band one.

Might be able to sling pick 1 to them for 2 of those picks. They have a list squeeze currently, so can't see them using too many.

Duursma would be their likeliest target IMO, after all the talls they picked up recently.

Might mean CDT slips to their next pick anyway, as I can't see Richmond picking him up unless it's as a pure ruck. They don't need more forwards after last year's draft.
