Whilst the on field performances have been lacking, the Richmond Board have moved in to secure off field stability and have announced a new partnership with Murray Goulburn Co-operative. Murray Goulburn is responsible for Devondale dairy products.

Duncan Morris, a board member and dairy farmer himself said that the partnership was perfect. "We pride ourselves on our quality as a business. For years we have had the softest butter on the market and we feel that the Richmond Football club share that vision for softness".

At this current time it is unclear what kind of exposure Murray Goulburn is looking for as the Tigers already have the jumper space sold to other major sponsors in Jeep and Bingle.

"We are really looking to increase our brand awareness. Whether that is advertising space at the club or TV commercials, we really haven't locked anything in yet" Morris continued."Brandon Ellis and Trent Cotchin are two players that come to mind that would be perfect to promote our butter and other dairy products"

Richmond chief executive Brendan Gale said that the resent signing was just proof that the club was heading in the right direction. "It is a real competitive market and we are confident in what we have to offer as a football club," Gale said.

Jeep, who have major naming rights on the clubs jumper, have been experiencing heat about the build quality and reliability of their cars. Most notable was Ashton Wood who invited strangers to destroy his car after it experienced a claimed 20 defects within 4 years after purchasing the vehicle new in 2010.

"We believe in what our message is and we also believe that share the same beliefs as our sponsers, whether that be Devondale or Jeep," Gale commented.
