Richmond* are a FRAUD. Everything they've accomplished carries a big, fat asterisk.

Are Richmond's Premiership* teams as strong as Hawthorn 2013-15 or Geelong 2007-11?

That's right Tuggers I'm calling you out.

Your team is nothing more than the fortunate beneficiary of AFL fixturing, utterly unworthy of being spoken of in the same context as the Mighty Hawthorn 3peat sides of 2013-2015 or even the Geelong 0peat teams of 2007-2011.

Thanks to Yojimbo we finally have unchallengable roof of how thorougly mediocre Richmond are away from their precious MCG turf:

2017*
2019*

The loophole is provided they come up against Geelong they can afford to drop 1-2 games over the season compared to all other finalists. The current finals system specifies 1st, 2nd, 5th & 6th receive home finals. Provided Richmond come up against Geelong they can afford to finish 3rd/4th on the ladder. That's how they won both their flags. They need the home final from 3rd or 4th because as you point out they can't win away. That weakness put them 3rd both their flag years, and for most other teams would've put them out of reach of the premiership, but for some reason they received the home final advantage of 1st/2nd. The loophole is a fundamental part their success.

27 flags have been won against Collingwood, I celebrated every one of them :thumbsu:
Me also but it is hardly the point. You implied they were grand final easybeats but they pushed Richmond’s s**t in 4 years in a row setting a grand final record that has not been bettered in nearly 100 years.

Thanks to Richmonds grand final fail the supposed grand final “easybeats” have a grand final record no one can touch.

You really did not think this through very well did you. :$

TLDR for everyone - play Geelong in a final and you'll autowin because, your playing Geelong in a final. Also, Geelong shouldnt turn up.

Mumford took possession from a ruck contest in the goal square and swung onto his right boot to clear only to sell the most unexpected fake to Collingwood skipper Scott Pendlebury before eventually kicking out of immediate danger.

If that were cotchin he would've put mummy's ass into the mcg turf not watched the big man dance around

FFS Its clowns like you that make me want to do the unforgivable act of White Knigting Richmond.

Both of their flags were as legit and well earned as any in the history of the game, admittedly they had the good fortune to play mentally weak sponges in the 2017 and 2019 Grannys, but them's the breaks.

Beats me why a Hawks fan would be bitter about the Tigers recent flag success.
Get a grip, boyo

lol but nothing you post is relevant because no one knows what team you support :tearsofjoy:

What else do you call beating them by 80 points? :$

Its all true though. You should've finished above us if you wanted the right of a home ground advantage. Your club otherwise wouldn't have been good enough to win the flag. Geelongs win rate in Kardinia is over 90%.

Aye i agree Geelong shouldnt have turned up. The location of the game determined the result and Geelongs players had no bearing on the game.

Lol. Geelol 2 from 11 in finals since Chris Scott. But it's Richmond's fault. Enough salt for everyone's fish and chips.

And there it is in a nutshell. The GF is played at the G. When are you dopes going to realise that by using your game plan from sleepy hollow it's probably costing you flags lol

The Grand Final is always played at the G but we currently need our home ground adv in finals games (which we're entitled too) because our coach sucks. The problem is more about giving our opponent a home final advantage not so much gaining a ground advantage ourself. Balance the crowd and lock the rest of the Tiger fans out and let neutrals in if 40k cats fans can't make it to Melbourne.

Seeing the sea of Richmond fans in the 2017 prelim (which what was supposed to be a Geelong home game) raises questions. When 1st/2nd/5th/6th receive a home final. And if Richmond would've actually beat Geelong there ( 90% win rate)

It's Scotts fault but you wouldn't have been able to beat us at Kardinia. Even Chris Scott would've beat you if we rightfully received their our home final.

You still haven't beaten us during the season for like 18 years. Only those 2 finals games where AFL swapped the grounds around.

Yes just like when you played Freo there in the 2013 finals at home.

Gale should have cried to his mate to host the match in Geelong instead of the MCG. As we now have this problem where people will always think Richmond used Geelong to win their flags.
