Tiger players have been warned against complacency after their win against premiership runner-up Collingwood last week. "If the players play with the same intensity and aggression, well, they should go all right. But if they don't - and they're off their guard at all - then the opposition, no matter who it is, will come out and make them look a bit silly," football operations manager Greg Hutchison told the club's website.

Melbourne coach Neale Daniher said he would give players another chance after their disappointing round-one loss against Hawthorn at the MCG. The Demons had a strong pre-season and will need to repeat that form to overcome the Tigers tomorrow. Daniher will need to add at least one player, with Daniel Ward rubbed out for three weeks on a rough-play charge by the AFL Tribunal.
