KB is a whiney old prick. If someone has to wear the clash guernsey it's the team that finished lower. He's always been a bitter salty old flog with his head squarely up his arse.

Having said that it's hardly a clash if Richmond just wear white shorts. Anyone who can't distinguish between the 2 when one is wearing white shorts needs their eyes and possibly their brain checked.

Yeah you're right about the white shorts but if you check the records, we're the first team listed. It's further proof the AFL made it up as they go. You could rightly argue we both had "home" privileges.

We've been listed second in all of our GFs except 1994.

I think the important takeaway from all this is: at least Richmond have a nice clash jumper. So they haven't worn it for 100 years. Doesn't make it any less aesthetically pleasing. Imagine if this game took place five years ago, with the Crows as the lower seed, forced to wear a white jumper with a giant, multi-coloured splosh on it?

Traditional-styled clash jumpers are in nowadays. Pretty good time to enforce them.

It's not exactly Hawk's Power Rangers levels of horrid. Seems fans of Vic clubs have more of an issue with this than fans of interstate clubs. Adelaide should get the right to wear their home strip having finished higher but tbh if Richmond just wears white shorts I personally don't see much of a clash.

Some people are so hell bent on hanging onto traditions for the sake of it. Richmond’s clash jumper looks awsome, it’s yellow and black. They’re wearing it in a grand final. It may not be a part of their history now, but if they win it will be a huge part of their club and history from next year on. Even if they lose its now apart of their folklore. Embrace the change, be proud of the clash.

AFL said winner of 1st Prelim always gets named first.
Last year clearly wasn't.

If you want to try to justify or explain an AFL decison, use the 2015 and 2016 final series as part of your study. They contradict each other.

Only possible conclusion, they make it up as they go.

Clearly the MCG is Richmond's home ground and not Adelaide's, and as I understand the rules, the home team gets to wear its home jumper. This is outrageous behaviour by the corrupt AFL but sadly not at all surprising.
This is the stupidest logic ever conceived. Well done. Quite the achievement.

Do you own the book Richmond FC by Rhett Bartlett? Go to pages 260-263 and look at those premiership teams. What do they all have in common? The Guernsey. It represents something of unity. Defacing that tradition for nothing more than ego from out of touch leaders is sad.

A compromise could still be reached as that is better than defacement. Look at Albury tigers Guernsey has more yellow in it, so something like that is better than complete betrayal to those past teams

It's a fantastic looking jumper, it really is. Give it a few years and it will be considered as 'Richmond' as the other jumper. Traditions have to start somewhere, just like it did when they first switched to wearing yellow and black for the first time.

This seems like a repeat of 2013 when opposition supporters were whinging more about us wearing our white jumper than we were.

Really, as a Tiges fan, who gives a shit???

We are in the big dance.

Name one supporter, or even one club official that wouldn't have taken this scenario at the start of the year.

Only an issue because that mouthy little gollum KB won't shut up. Peggy is OK with it, Brendan is OK with it.

Personally think Crows win. But if Tiges win am I going to give one shit about the jumper? Not on your life.

But, there is no clash.

Why on earth would they switch jumpers if they won? Good luck telling anyone to take off a jumper they just won a flag in.

Remember, it's not black and yellow, it's YELLOW AND BLACK!

First time on big footy since Friday arvo.
im glad the crows didn't get bullied by the VFL to wear its clash. in saying that its a joke that the tigers cant wear its home Guernsey and white shorts BUT the correct decision was made with the team who had to wear a clash. Crows finished top.

Wear it.
Over the top of the Richmond jumper then take them off after the nat anthem.

Fans come first. AFL is simply an administrative body.
The entire weight of the footy public would ensure they cant and wont do a bloody thing. They wouldnt dare when they see what would happen to their little microcosm of perceived power.

Governing bodies seem to have got to a point where they overstate their own importance...running a simple game with a stalinist fist and taking all manner of decisions which reflect the few at the top rather than the masses.

Get behind KB and fight it.
Take away the need for adminsitrators to feel like they have power and there is absolutely no need for a contrived excuse for a jumper to ruin the occasion.

Wrong. They said top of the ladder gets it
Ok I didn't go looking further than what I remember them telling us why Hawks were listed first on 2015.

Then they change that the very next year? Typical AFL.

Why wouldn't they? Swap the jumpers for the classic and at least have all the celebrations in the proper jumper.

If you win a flag, that jumper becomes a Richmond classic. The droughtbreaker.

There will be plenty of people at the ground wearing the home jumper, but i'd imagine the jumper they actually played in would be pretty special to the players.
