I thought for a little fun we can have a competition between us richmond supporters to guess who we will pick to see who can get the most correct.

ill start

13 Jack Riewoldt

26 Mitch Brown

58 Andrejs Eviritt

60 Nathan Krakour

74 Kent Kingsley

I was stuck at 58 it was either Eviritt or Davey but i have a feeling Alwyn will be picked earlier and Andrejs will be picked later.

Wrong place but when is the actual draft?

Saturday November 25.

The final draft order is not set yet. There is the possibility of fine-tuning delistments on Friday 17th. So those late-round picks could still move up a spot or two.

Pick 74 could well be pick 68 this time next week for example.

Don't Richmond have 6 places to fill on their senior list for next year? An article on the club's website stated that the Tigers played one short on the senior list this year and would have 6 selections in the upcoming drafts...

Therefore, I would definitely take the best available kids at 13 and 26. At 58 and 60, again look for the best available options - one KPP/Ruck and one midfielder. I know it is easy to say 'best available', but it is really what a club must do. From then on it may be a case of looking for shortish term options to fill seemingly weak areas. I don't think the Tigers should take a punt on another 2 kids late in the draft, and that is why I think Kingsley and Pods are training with the club.
As I have stated elsewhere, I'd love to see Pods get a chance. If he could stand up at the level, he may well be more versatile that Kingsley in that he could plug a hole in defence and would be a strong body down there if required, but may also do OK up forward.

6 selections = plenty to fill...I think one of Pods or Kingsley will be picked up.

I doubt very much we'd be grabbing another Krakouer somehow. Just a hunch.

 i really do hope that the draft does not pan out that way or i suspect there will be a lot of posters going the PLSC posting method:thumbsd:

who the hell knows what we are gonna do, i mean we traded down to 13 because we rate a player no one else does so we will prob get him

getting polak means we will go midfield first 2 picks which i dont mind, hopefully one of them is more than 70kgs though

Why would we go midfield, it is well known we are deficient in the back lines, i say we will go look there first then midfield and so on.

gee i dont know, maybe a certain round 22 game this year when we couldnt touch it all game might be the reason

we'll see what happens

Pay your $66, unless you are already a member, go to the Richmond Rookie Club Draft Preview and you will find out first hand what sort of player the Mighty Tigers are looking to recruit from this year's draft.

Then you can try to pick some of the young guys who may suit our team.

Otherwise its just a jackass guess biassed by your mates and cousins, or heaven forbid, press crap.

don't think i would want to draft any of those, that is a terrible selection of players. no way will we waste our first pick on riewoldt!

The only one of those 5 i would want is little everitt, but i doubt he will fall that far. The first 2 really dont fit our game plan, they will be mids unless one of the outstanding KPP players fall to our pick!!
Im not to sure about Krakouer we have had a recent bad experience with that name. And the less said about kingsly the better.

Good idea Rota. Looks like a bit of fun.

I'll give it a go.

13 - Armitage

26 - Reid

58 - Edwards

60 - Goldstein

74 - Anderson (Joe)

I think that provides us with a pretty good balance of what we are looking for and I think these could be realistically available at these selections.

Our midfield is still by far our biggest problem. We need to keep building in there till we've got at least 8-10 top notch midfielders to rotate through the guts.

Agree, except i think it will be more of a case that if you are not a tall you will play midfield, so i would say it will be more like 14-16 midfield utility types. With Tambling and Meyer resting forward, while Rains and polo rest back! I think the team will be playing Total Football!

1st round . nathan brown
2nd round . best available inside midfielder
3rd round . best available back flanker / utility
4th round . best available ruckman
5th round . best of whatever is left
6th round . pass & use in psd

If Perry from the Roos has nominated then I hope we take him with a late pick 58, 60. Is rated by many Roos fans as a decent FB for the future and if we could secure him to go with Polak then it would be a nice off season for the RFC.
