Not much mentioned about who should be traded, delisted, traded in or drafted.

I'd like Lennon, bachelor and Loyd moved on/ traded or delisted. Miles traded provided we could get something for him.

I'd like to get Tom Nicholls from GCS. Maybe for Miles. What would others like to see done?

You don’t replace houli a second in the Norm Smith medal
I did not say you replace him. I said I'd like to see a player improve enough to take his spot.

why lie i post win los or draw.
its been the criticisms even when we win that people around here cant handle.

I can assure you no one celebrated as hard as i did when we won. And i will always enjoy the flag.
It doesnt last for ever and we do have to keep improving we are already well into trade week, time stands still for no one.
Its been two weeks it is time to get back to normal unlike other wanting supporters i dont need to talk it up 24 hrs a day 7 days a week.

Its odd if you dont celebrate the way other entitled posters do your negative and dont belong. For people to suggest i have not celebrated our win well its being just a tad mischievious and a means to suit their thinking.
I will keep my independence every day of the week thanks, and i will call things as i see it.Not that i will be around here all that much to upset the precious ones who raise their hackles at any hint of honesty and criticism.

As fans, it's not our problem to make sure we keep improving etc. We can continue to enjoy this premiership until next season begins.

I'll enjoy the 2017 flag for years, however, want to see improvement so we can hopefully snag another flag or two.
Saying that a couple of players will need to be moved on is not criticism, it's just the changes we would recommend to ensure the club moves forward. It's just opinion about the players we see as the weakest on the list, that we feel should be moved on to improve.

What he is saying is, that is up to the club, not us.

I don't think anyone here denies that we can't improve further but some take themselves too seriously and overestimate how much influence we actually have on clubs decisions by posting our thoughts on an internet forum.

Hang on. You said you don't watch much footy anymore and didn't really enjoy watching the Tigers that much. That by the way was when we made top 4 and won a qualifying final... Anyone else remember that?

i certainly dont watch anywhere near the amount of footy i used to i have repeatedly said, i hate the way the game has gone.So when i say i dont enjoy footy it applies to all teams and the game itself. So your wrong it wasnt just when we made top 4 it was all yr.

You know just a bit of context bud yes i missed a few tiger games but mostly i did not get to see them live most of the time i invariably found the time to watch them. This i have been openly honest about unlike many around here who are just plain old disingenuous like yopur above post.;)

Not sure what your post has to do with Bazzer telling bald faced lies to try and score a point or weather i celebrated our g/f win or not.I suppose some just cant handle honesty.

Well if you feel the need to do that go for it. Personally i will now focus in on what i have always focused on list and players. That doesnt mean i have not enjoyed our win like some around here are want to imply.

Not all of us have to be over the top or try and prove hes a better supporter than the next one.

And here i was thinking we were doing nothing more than posting our personel opinions and the club could not give a stuff about what you or i said on an internet forum.
If people think the club read or more to the point take notice of posters opinions then id say they are kidding themselves.
We post opinions and thank christ there are some differing ones about the place.

Who cares how much mopsy did or didn’t celebrate. Could not care less doesn’t impact me
It seems some around here do care seems some are quite happy to take cheap shots play the man and imply i didnt celebrate. To me thats pretty weak and i certainly have the right to reply to those posters.

My point is why do they care? Not something that keeps me up at night personally

Would like to see us turn over those players like Batchelor, Miles, Lloyd, great servants to the club no doubt, but not getting senior games. Our backup is pretty well established, Ellis, Menadue, Short, Markov, Stengle, Bolton, Moore.... so make them take the roles of the senior VFL players and draft in some new younger players to fill the ranks. With necessary back with players we are short of, Griffiths, Hampson, maybe Chol.
We have strong senior VFL players doing the hard lifting, Ballard, Wood, Darley etc. so why keep those blokes who have reached their ceiling and are perhaps holding others back.
We will not lose any AFL senior players next year due to age, so the more quality youth coming in now the better.

For what it's worth I am in the same category as yourself. Celebrated like hell. But look at our squad and see weaknesses. It may sound very negative, but if we do not upgrade at least 3 to 4 players then the Tiges will go backwards.

I have doubts about a few of our players. Townsend, Castagna, Grigg, Houli and others.

I am happy for them all to be retained but hope they are forced out of the best 22 by players who improve or are new to the club. Houli and Grigg have been good servants but are aging.

Fact is premiership teams do contain some ordinary players that just perform a role. The aim is to replace these and improve.

I disagree with your thoughts on Houli & Grigg , Both are playing career best football and look like they will be good for atleast 2018 and possibly 2019
Houli - IMO was the Norm Smith medalist and had a great period after his suspension and he turns 30 next year
2017 he averaged 24 poss 5 marks 6 contested 4 tackles at 78% efficiency , Laird & Docherty average 5 touches a game more and they are Elite

Grigg - Bryce Gibbs is playing the best football of his career playing similar role to grigg but without the ruck work grigg does
Adelaide are desperate to trade for him and are prepared to give up a top 15 draft pick but Carlton want 2 first rounders !

Grigg is slightly younger with extremely good endurance and doesnt get injured or miss games , His 2017 season has been just as influential as Gibbs and their numbers are very comparable with just 4 poss less per game.

These 2 players have been fantastic for Richmond both in dark days as well as a Premiership year, They still have another 1-2 years min and we already have their replacements at the club in Markov (houli) Menadue (grigg)

Well said THE_GUN

You just have to laugh. We won the premiership with massive input from Grigg and Houli and still people aren't convinced.

Yeah lets just move on Houli who is career best form, probably should have won the Norm Smith and if Shaun Burgoyne is still playing good footy at 34 has at least another 3 or 4 years left.

Sensibly said. However, I didn't get a laugh out of reading your post like I do when I read the posts form posters writing versions of: "So what if they played bloody well and helped us win a flag; they are poor players and don't deserve to be in the team - just like I said all year." Your post was far to sensible and realistic to get the type of laughs I get from other posters on here.

I agree that both Houli and Grigg are playing well and don't want them out. Just saying that the ideal scenario would be that our list improves to a degree where rising talent takes there positions. Ridiculous to move them on unless there are better alternatives.

Lloyd and Miles are our best performing players outside the GF 22. Better that they stay and put selection pressure and hopefully step up a notch like so many others did this year. We had a great run with injuries this year and can't count on that to happen again. No point trading unless we can get something worthwhile and there's really not much on offer right now.

Markov,Menadue,Drummond,Short will be putting pressure on the senior players next year and are the players that are Grigg & Houli's direct competition
3/4 are tracking very well with Drummond being injured but has alot of supporters at the club and was given a game before the others as he is highly rated

I disagree, While i see your point i would argue the younger players who are the future will be the player putting pressure on the seniors
Corey Ellis , Connor Menadue , Jack Graham ,Oleg Markov , Jayden Short , Tyson Stengle , Shai Bolton
If miles & Lloyd are there for too long then the emergency will always be the 2 experienced players and the kids will not be pushed, But if they know they are 'next in line' Then they will see the carrot so to speak
