Morris is essentially the same player as DimSim Hardwick was, hope we just leave him in the backline. I love his lockdown jobs and dashes from the backline. Not everyone under 6 foot 3 has to play in the midfield

I does help the more players you have that can rotate through the middle and not sure we should be limiting him to solely being a back pocket , like we have done so with others in the past .Morris is essentially the same player as DimSim Hardwick was, hope we just leave him in the backline. Good isn't it , the day we have midfielders who can pinch hit forward rather than forwards who can resemble a midfielder the better .
Lids , Cotchin , Foley , Martin and Tuck will add more forward consistantly than someone like Nahas and will have opposition sides shitting themselves .
I personally see Conca assuming Newy's role within the back pocket , releasing Newy to a wing , Knights and pick 9 assuming Nahas role within the forward line and should add more within our midfield rotations .
C: Grigg Cotchin Newman
Hf : lids Astbury Dusty
Ff: King Jr8 Vickery
Foll : Maric Tuck Foley
Int: knights Edwards pick9 Ellis
We instantly gain more midfield depth And alot more dangerous forward line, which are both significant needs and we slowly get closer to having 10 midfield rotations .
If we can develop Helbig into Morris' backline role and release Morris into the midfield we are going to be a very very good side .

Yes he has been great in our back half and has been a role we have been struggling to fullfil , however let's not pigeon hole him .

Looks pretty good Dean. Two questions, first, is Clinton Young based on rumours that were looking at him, or just that you see a role for him? Speaking if which, not sure the merit of attracting a free agent and then sending him down to Coburg (you don't have him in your first 22).Free Agency: Troy Chaplin (PTA), Chris Knights (ADEL), Clinton Young

Second, I have to say I cringed to see Graham still on the list. I know it appears to be heading that way, since he's still contacted, but its just so hard to stomach!
I rarely come over to these parts now but I have to say that this is a great post. Can I quote it elsewhere?Free Agency: Troy Chaplin (PTA), Chris Knights (ADEL), Clinton Young (HAW)

He could be one of the best lockdown defenders of small forwards in the game, it's something we've lacked for years, why take that away when we've been looking for a player to play that role for so long?I does help the more players you have that can rotate through the middle and not sure we should be limiting him to solely being a back pocket , like we have done so with others in the past .

Lol! Good call!As for Graham, I had to get my mother to type that in for me, it is painful.
Of course.I rarely come over to these parts now but I have to say that this is a great post. Can I quote it elsewhere?
I don't tend to bother with imaginary players on our list but one thing has got me .
If Clinton Young is a starter in one and most likely 2 premiership teams, how does he not get a game at Richmond?
KPP don't grow on trees, Patfull and Maguire aren't gonna be around forever so it's a need for them. We got Maric for 37, they got Lisle for 29 and Port got Renouf for 33. Even Bomber rookie Josh Jenkins (and #31) got to the Crows for their second rounder.I guess I should also ask what we put in brisbanes water to get them to hand over 28 for Post?
I wasn'tBit like Tuck?
I'm not saying you're right or wrong but it's a bit naive to only judge a player on their age.
how come C.Young has been mentioned? is there a possibility to get him or is it just wishful thinking?
i'd prefer ppl post about players we can realistically get. or players we are at least linked to.
