White hopes to be traded, so delisting him now would potentially be giving him away for free. They must have made the call to keep Derickx over brown, as he can play a key position role to compliment his time in the ruck?
He doesnt HOPE to get traded, but is willing to if Richmond don't want him so he can continue playing footy

we just cleaned out 9 players, can someone tell me why it is so bad that we kept a few duds as we call em (McNugget, White, Derickx) ? i am happy with the axe that has fallen, all the players that are gone are players i wanted gone as a supporter and i am confident we will be looking for quality to fill them spots.

Oh the irony , old mate Santa was mentioning upward of 7 delistings list chanes and was shot down . Now we have some questioning whether we need to but deeper . McGuanne and White as proven this year are more than capable of relieving for injuries , we get genuine midfielders (x3) who can play to a similar level , should we get a injury or 2, and we'll play finals no doubt.
Our top end is fine our bottom end is terrible , coming from where we have I am more than happy that we are using the tail end of our list on mature aged players who can come in and give relief to our younger developing stars . It will ultimately give us a better chance of developing players like O'hanlon , Helbig rather than them being forced to come up and cover for injuries .
Graham stays as a release ruckman , Post KPD, McGaunne KPF and White medium sized who can play anywhere .
Got no idea why Derickx stayed .

What have i done now?:p

Was A.Maric really that bad? Just curious because we were after him as well last year according to reports.
He is an absolute gun , apparently other sides are into him and with those behind you in the draft willing to give up their first pick and those in front willing to use their second . If you want him you should use your first pick .

Was santa including rookies, probably find he wasn't. Regardless, pretty sure you'll find many a poster agreed with santa on that, so no idea where the irony comes from. What a silly thing to say.

More likely that people didn't like the fact that santa would add that we're shit and have useless idiots in charge of list management, that he could do ten times a better job, etc.

When people are discussing delistings they need to consider contracts- clubs don't like delisting contracted players because they have to pay them out and it counts against the salary cap and because it just doesn't look good- club effectively reneging on contract. It's a little like a weird game of musical chairs- you can end up delisted because you happen to be uncontracted at a bad time or you can be kept on simply because you're contracted. I always thought rodan was an example of the former.

No he isn't.

No he won't.
What does Mcguane have to do to earn some respect? Never made it as a defender but has done his job as a 2nd forward this year. Not only has he been taking marks and kicking goals, but he does the hard stuff when the ball is in opposition hands. Considering this was his first year playing forward at AFL level, he surely deserves another chance.

Ranked 8th in the team for average tackles per game with 3.4 this year, and 15 goals in 9 games, if he played 20+ games he was on target for a 30+ goals season, then would you be saying the same thing??

Thanks to the players listed for their efforts and contibution to the club.

As for those who stayed..Some are contracted, but others, well...Many have said you need ~30 'decent' players to make a flag tilt. Is it really so hard to think these players could be 25-30 in such a squad?
