Few to re-sign still.... but plenty to use as trade bait if we are trying to get into the 2nd round of the draft.... Conca, TV (well he'd be FA), Griff all could get some value depending on how they finish 2016. TV would be the chip we could best use imo...

2017 might be a big year of names to re sign.... Lids, Martin and co....

Of this years list would like to see menadue signed up, the rest are a bit of a wait and see - seems like we are going to want to have that flexibility this year for trading and free agents.

Dusty is the big one next year - at 30 lids I reckon would see it out , dusty will be 26, prime of his career so could be offered some long term lucrative deals

There wasn't many clubs interested in Dusty a few years ago during contract negotiations due to perceived off-field issue's. Next contract he'll be red hot, there'll be plenty of clubs throwing big dollars at him, so I reckon we re-sign him at the start of 2017. No letting negotiations drag out this time.

How many players do people think we need to turn over.
The average per club is around 8.6 a year?.
With the state of our list i am hoping we are looking at at least 10 new faces. What types we get in will depend on the types we trade/delist/retire.

our list is setup now so that anyone the Club no longer requires can be replaced by long term (youth) Players. a lot depends on if anyone retires this year or not

Vickery and B Ellis should be on the tables for picks. Try and get two more picks in the top 30. Then, trade those two picks for a pick in the teens. Two top 15 picks would be good.
Just need a good recruiter otherwise those picks will be wasted again

Morris, hunt, Elton, broad, tonsend cant believe we've got another year of these sh#£ fish clogging our list. Pay em out

Do we really need to keep Vickery
Nope. his work rate 7 seasons after his debut is still really poor. needs to move on

He's better than Griff
At being a lazy sook.. Yes!
I think they're pretty even, some traits good on one bad one the other... If they could use the Power Ranger force and combine into one. We may have just had a good player.

Neither of them have really delivered. I Love Griffs ability to kick the s**t out of the ball, but he doesn't do it much anymore.
May have to move on both.. Tye and Griffs to Essendon for Hurley.... I'd be ok with that.

Congrats to them both. The Hammer extension will polarise, but he's clearly the best ruck on our list so happy to see him rewarded with an extension

More like Hampson is the only ruck on our list ...Maric cooked and Soldo...rookie who is still learning
Ty can't be arsed, Griff is a bit delicate

How have we not recruited a Ruckman to prepare for this?

The point remains. He is our best/the only AFL standard ruck on our list (assuming Maric retires) - we have to sign him up and draft/trade for another this off-season.

One would suggest the club needs to payout and move on morris or townsend. Or even both. If they dont then surely there is no room for marcon and moore (andrew) who both have been playing at much higher standard than townsend in the vfl. I know marcon is only taking a rookie list spot but after the success of short and goerge and potentially marbs and c moore we should be rookie listing kids.

paying Players out is a stupid idea. best case they provide depth in case of injury. they'll have until end of next yr to push thier way into the side or will be moved on.

Ivan wants to go on again next year I heard on the radio tonight. Love the guy and what he has contributed to the club, but you've got to no when your time is up.

Griff is delicate but if (i know it's a big if) he can get the body right he can be a really good backup ruckman. Last week jumped right over the top of Grundy a number of times, to give us first use in the middle. He has a very good vertical leap.
