We can but we need to find a replacement. I am saying if we cant do that, considering we need to find another replacement for Maric who should retire. That means we would need to find 2 rucks, so do we waste 2 picks on players or trade for 2 or a mix of this, or just 1 and keep hampson.

I have been going on about Darcy Cameron now for 4 years and Sydney picked him up last year, Kid can play foward and ruck with a great leap and extremely mobile and only 22 years old getting 60k a year from sydney - Thats backup and development for the future

But no we get other clubs spuds and pay him 1.2-1.4 mil over 4 years and he only plays 40 games in that time

Cut our losses and piss this bloke off asap

The point is players recover from bad back see Waite. I have no problem of getting other players, but those players need to be available and good enough to be on a AFL list. But again that still doesn't mean they are ready. So to clarify, Nank then Soldo, then Hampson plus another rookie ruck who isn't ready yet. If, and this is an if, another AFL ready ruck is available then yes by all means get rid of him, but don't do it until that happens.

Because there are 8 players I would cut from the 2017 list without a 2nd thought.

So paying out Hampson's 2018 year is just trolling! He's always injured and not much of a ruckman, but he is guaranteed 2018 obviously.

In Free Agency, go for one key forward (Schache or whoever) and another experienced key forward for the VFL team.
In the draft, use our two 1st rounders on outside mids/running defenders, our two 3rd rounders on inside mids/small defenders and our 4th rounder on another mid. Use the last rookie spot on yet another mid.
