r*ped Fitzroy, going after The Bulldogs gun forward. Why not develop your own list richmond ? Throwing money at Solomon as well. (but so are carlton and collingwood it`s an annual thing with those two and Solly)
Can`t be suprised richmond, it`s the way they have operated since I`ve been following football.

Agreed. Why can't they grow their own ****ing talent. Doesn't bother me that much though as long as Solly doesn't go. We have done at Bomberland for as long as Sheedy has been there, and look how many flags they've won since. Since 1980: Essendon 4:0 Richmond

Maybe if you gave Solomon a internet deal like Hird and Lloyd he might stay.

We traded Jeff Hogg our then captain, FF and leading goalkicker to fitzroy for Broderick, Michael Gale (who was joining his brother) and Dundas. Nathan Brown quit the bulldogs. Johnson barracked for Richmond as a kid and wanted to come home to Melbourne.

That's ignoring the swans taking Maxfield, Freo offering $$$ to Gaspar when it turns out they couldn't fit him under their salary cap anyway and Adelaide going after Holland. All clubs chase uncontracted players.

Do I need to remind people that Nathan Brown quit the Bulldogs? And five clubs (including Essendon) were at his managers office vying for the best deal...He chose Richmond!!!

Dean Solomon is asking for a year more on his contract, Essendon are playing hard ball on the deal, good on them, but if it doesnt work, he will get a year extra in his contract from us, thats an offer, not stealing, its still up to him and in fact gives Essendon a chance to improve your offer....if not its fair game!

Give it up, get on with your life, no matter how dull it seems to be, and wait till the trade period...only after you finish school kiddies

The ONLY club Brown could've gone to and even remotely had a chance at argueing anything other than money was Carlton, on the grounds he followed us as a kid.

Brown's a mercenary scumbag just like Hamill. Now lets see if he lives a lie and tries to divert blame in an effort to cast himself in a brighter light for deciding to move, just like lying Aaron has done.

For Essendon to get Brown we would have to clear 5+ players. I don`t want him. Yes he is an excellent footballer, he is not worth the $ he is after. And if the Bulldogs start wobbling in the next few years, Brown leaving will be recognised as the first stab in the back.
Hogg was on the downward spiral, so obvious. he did 9/10ths of **** all at The Roys , yeah great deal for those poor bastards. Develop your own list richmond.

I dont think I have read any article or heard anywhere that Essendon were officially after Brown. I have read that Essendon have confirmed they r interested in Stevens but have not heard them confirm any interest in Brown.

I bloody well think you would. At least we have the guts to go after them and do it fairly. We dont blow our thing called.... the... um..... SALARY CAP now do we?

Hmmm its simple for some, disturbingly hard for others to understand.

I'll say it again, $1.5 million for 4 years for Brown, hardly went for the money!! Was offered a lot more at other clubs.

erm, I think that the point being made was that the tigers have a history of trying to buy established players from clubs that have spent time/$$$ developing them.

Develop your own kids.

Nothing ****es me off more than seeing players learn their trade at a club to then be poached off by other clubs.
