Fact is Richmond were a basketcase for 37 years and still remained near the top in members and attendance.
Logically this number would go up if we were actually successful, point is the following is true
1. If Richmond are crap and Collingwood are crap, Richmond has bigger crowds and members
2. If Richmond are good and Collingwood are good , Richmond has bigger crowds and members
3. If Richmond are good and Collingwood are crap, Richmond has bigger crowds and more members
4. If Richmond are crap and Collingwood are good, It is very close as to who has bigger crowds and members
Mate you got 47K to your last home game against a team you were supposed to have destroyed.
Don't pretend West Coast fans are any different, seen a great pic of Eagles fans leaving early in your home loss to Port champ
That’s cheating as soccer is popular World wide.To keep it all in perspective I believe that Barcelona have over 2 million members.
Are you seriously bagging West Coast for getting 47k against the Suns?

Hate to be the stats guy for attendance, but since the turn of the decade:
Richmond:
Collingwood:
- High Attendance: 57,554 (1st)
- Low Attendance: 37,943 (15th)
- Average Attendance: 45,257.56
- Average Ladder Position: 8th
- Largest Gap to Collingwood: 6,926
- High Attendance: 59,385 (1st)
- Low Attendance: 44,191 (13th)
- Average Attendance: 51,294.33
- Average Ladder Position: 7th
- Largest Gap to Richmond: 21,442
Please redo numbers taking out the Anzac Day monopoly.
West Coast are in a two team city of circa 2 million. Even then, the way it is over there they probably have 80% plus of the market. The fact there are WC supporters in here foaming away about Richmond's praise worthy effort in the super competitive Melbourne market begs belief.
Funny how you were quoting one win from our past 7 against you not that long ago...3 wins from the last 9 attempts disagrees. But hey, don’t let that chip on the shoulder get to big Franky boy. Those chiro bills can be a bitch.
Are you seriously bagging West Coast for getting 47k against the Suns?
Who would have thought that by round 8, Richmond would be starting a game as clear underdogs against lowly Freo?
How the not so mighty have fallen....
Weren’t WCE underdogs in the Grand Final?
Ignoring the fact that removing the highest attended Home and Away game of the year doesn't 100% make sense, i'll humor the assertion because I'm a nice guy. Please redo numbers taking out the Anzac Day monopoly.

If we assume ANZAC Day was a regular Collingwood vs. Essendon game and take the 91,440 attendance and change it to 69,868 (attendance that year for Coll vs. Ess regular home and away) the difference is -2% to Collingwood total yearly attendance. Collingwood's advantage over Richmond is much greater than 2% as an overview of those stats (around 12% higher for the decade).
If we are applying that logic, however, we need to apply the same logic to Richmond. Let's get rid of ANZAC eve and make it a normal game. Unfortunately, Richmond only plays Melbourne once, so we will use the next closest example, Hawthorn (37,249 avg. for Melbourne in 2018, 36,122 for Hawthorn). So then we change the 88,180 of ANZAC Eve to 70,701 vs. Hawthorn, and we get a % difference for the year of -1.3%.
Hope that helps.
I'm predicting the next decade for Richmond will be another horror story. See, Richmond contending is an exception, not the rule.Next decade will be interesting. Richmond from 82 to 2017 was a horror story.
You’re only serving to prove our point... Richmond is COMFORTABLY bigger than Collingwood, and we’re not even travelling that well are we?Who would have thought that by round 8, Richmond would be starting a game as clear underdogs against lowly Freo?
How the not so mighty have fallen....
Membership numbers more important than winning games of football?and yet we still cracked 100k members.
