AFL Club
Richmond
Amazing how heavily we cashed in given how short our premiership window was.

Richmond
4x years of finishing top 4 (2017-2020)
4x preliminary final appearances
3x grand final appearances
3x premierships

Compare it to these past premiership windows.

Essendon
3x years of finishing top 4 (1999-2001)
3x preliminary final appearances
2x grand final appearances
1x premiership

Port Adelaide
4x years of finishing top 4 (2001-2004)
3x preliminary final appearances
1x grand final appearance
1x premiership

West Coast
3x years of finishing top 4 (2005-2007)
2x preliminary final appearances
2x grand final appearances
1x premiership

St Kilda
3x years of finishing top 4 (2008-2010)
3x preliminary final appearances
2x grand final appearances
0x premierships

Western Bulldogs
3x years of finishing top 4 (2008-2010)
3x preliminary final appearances
0x grand final appearances
0x premierships

Collingwood
4x years of finishing top 4 (2009-2012)

2x grand final appearances
1x premiership

Sydney
5x years of finishing top 4 (2012-2016)
4x preliminary final appearances
3x grand final appearances
1x premiership

Fremantle
3x years of finishing top 4 (2013-2015)
2x preliminary final appearances
1x grand final appearance
0x premierships

These clubs would have killed to win more than 1 premiership or 0 premierships in their windows.
Let alone to have a strike rate like ours in terms of striking gold while the iron is hot.
That's not even mentioning the 150k people who attended our post premiership Swan Street parties.

I think we are burnt out from long seasons... Short pre season this year.. The toll of covid and being on the road, All teams had to deal with It but considering who are missing from the team at the moment... Balta, Broad, Houli, Vlastuin, Lambert, Edwards, Prestia, Nankervis.. They are all starting 18 in all 3 flags..

We have a very strong draft hand and I hope we use the picks and not go down the Geelong path and keep topping up with older blokes.

We still would would up there competing if we regularly didn't have 6-10 of the best 22 out all year.

We did it in previous years at the peak of our powers. This year coming towards the end it's too hard to overcome.

I'd still back our best 22 this year against anyone. But guys like Nankervis, Prestia, Broad, Balta, Lambert, Edwards are too hard to replace. Depth is not there from lack of draft picks over the years.

100% this. Clubs build teams to get the most out of their list. While we didn’t do that early on in the rebuild, we definitely did so in the end. Don’t think anyone of us should be dissatisfied how things panned out when looking at the bigger picture.

I dont understand how the media can state that it's over for Richmond considering the injuries and missing our ruckman has impacted us.
Plus, we have proven in 16/17 that we can quickly turn things around.

Anyone in the media who state its not over will be centrelinked.
