There's a reason the 3-game memberships weren't available at the start of the year. I hope they introduce them around the same time next year, too.
I think it's smart to encourage those who sign up at the start of the year to get a full 11 game membership then bring in the 3 game to pick up those on the fence.

Just on the 3 game membership, I actually think its a good idea and the club is being smart with them. By offering a 3 game membership this year they get the punters who have ummed and ahhed about being a member to sign up. Come November when 2011 memberships go on sale the club has the details of all these people and can contact them and see if they can get them to commit to an 11 game membership. I know they do this already as they always ask if my younger son who has a non matchday membership, because of a disability that prevents him from going to games, is interested in getting a matchday membership.

As it is I wouldn't be surprised to see 3 game memberships disappear in the early part of next year and only reappear if we're falling short of our target, which I believe will be around 47k-50k based on a 10% increase on this year.
We did 42,000 this year having done 47,000 last year on the Cuz effect.

Yesterday we drew almost 40,000 in 16th V interstate opposition. Next week we will smash our record attendance V Freo by thousands. We have a superstar and in Cotch, Lids etc players who are not far behind. In the circumstances 47,000 next represents failure. 50,000 all in has to be both the target and absolutely achievable.
