Bumped Richmond- the best team you can field in 2001

I would like to know what the different supporters think would be the best team their club could field from their list next season.

I will post what I think may be the best for all clubs.

I'll start with the Tigers.

W:Tivendale(can kick a goal on the run 50 meters out. long time since ive seen that at Richmond)
W:Bourke(High mark.Good 1on1.Keep him out of packs)
C:Campbell(get enough possesions some of them have to land in the right spot)

HFF:Hilton(a bit of Knuckle never goes astray)

Welcome to the board ShereKahn.

I went with Holland to free up Gale Ottens and Richardson. Big blokes sometimes take a while to develop and I think he can make CHF his own.

Gale and Ottens in the full forward line provide height marking power and straight kicking. Richo on the flank is impossible to blanket but at CHF I think he gets targetted and 2 or 3 defenders go with him and he's a ball magnet. He takes them to the play and players up field seem to look up and see only for him.

Richo is going to get flooded where ever he is.If he is allowed to roam around the forward line with his pace and size he should clear his main opponent and get to an easiser contest.Alot depends on delivery down field thou>

Interesting fact - All those named above had posters of Lids on their bedroom walls during the entire 2001 footy season.

Just goes to show good teams don't always play in finals. How the hell did that team even make finals yet alone win one.

It should serve as a reminder to every one, especially the club about false dawns.
