It's gonna be a big season for the Tigers and it all kicks off this Saturday Night against the Crows. Coach Terry Wallace is adament that his squad of 23 is fit and ready to play. But the Crows coach Neil Craig thinks otherwise, as speculation surrounds a late change by the Tigers.

We caught up with coach Terry Wallace on Saturday Nights game:

Press: "So Terry firstly how is the squad feeling, Nathan Brown is under scrutiny of a heavy quad strain at training yesterday. How do you fancy his chances?"

TW:"Nathan will play, no doubt. I have no idea where you got that from but Browny has been training hard and we fully expect him to play."

Press: "So the now obviously is the whole squad fit"?

TW:"Yep"

Press:"What type of mindset are the boys in at the moment"?

TW:"What do you think."

Press: "Thats what im asking you".

TW:"To win".

Press:" Now moving on, the weather has been hot in Adelaide recently, how do you expect the players will handle that".

TW: "We have practiced in heat chambers believe it or not during the week. So a number of the boys are quite familiar with the conditions. But we will obviously continue with more conditioning to help in recovery post match.

Press: "Thanks Terry good luck".

TW: "Thank You".

So it is shaping up to be a massive night of football in Adelaide. I dont know about you, but i cant wait.

MCG-Saturday:

Weather- Fine, Cool, Overcast

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to this clash between the Richmond Tigers and the Melbourne Demons. On this, I guess it is fair to say bleak day in Melbourne. But without further or do lets discuss the two teams form. Richmond have come off a 2 point loss at AAMI Stadium against the Crows. But the Demons got smashed by 59 points against the Lions at the MCG. Odds on are that the Tigers should win and win comfortably. But lets get ready for the start...

It was a ugly start to the match with both teams struggling to make do on the score board. But the Tigers managed the first goal and from there it was literally goal for goal for the rest of the time. The quarter time score:

Richmond 2.5 17
Melbourne 1.2 8

It continued to be a even affair with Melbourne providing a massive challenge for the Tigers. But they managed to scrape through the quarter which so plenty of physical contact and lead by just the two points at the main change despite terrible kicking. The half time score:

Richmond 4.13 37
Melbourne 5.5 35

Melbourne showed why they could potentially upset the Tigers with a stellar third term. They booted 3 goals to the tigers solitary 1 as they marched to a vital 11 point lead at the end of the 'premiership quarter. The three quarter time score:

Richmond 5.15 45
Melbourne 8.8 56

Any chance of Melbourne upsetting the Tigers was put to bed early. As Richmond pounced and booting 3 quick goals. As Melbourne's inability to break the centre line proved costly. As they only added the extra point to their score. Nathan Brown seems certain to see the kicking coach but still played well enough to get best on ground honors. As he kicked 4 goals 8 behinds for the day. Brown kicked the final goal of the game as well as Richmond ran out 19 point victors. The final score:

Richmond 9.22 76
Melbourne 8.9 57

Now lets get to the desk for all the news and highlights for today's game.
