Still as fit as the day you were born no doubt too being that a Richmond supporters health is renowned for longevity. lol. Bill Burns 1909, found guilty for kicking and was given a life time ban. Was then commuted to a 46 game ban.

Must of been one hell of a vicious kick to warrant that penalty. Either that or the tribunal didn't put up with any shit back then. Would have been interesting to see it given that he got life initially.

There was no GF that season but the Bombres were awarded the flag. Strange one that.

There was no finals series or GF. Instead there was a round robin between Essendon, Richmond, Fitzroy and South Melbourne. The results were:

Essendon 8.10.58 def Fitzroy 2.6.18
Richmond 13.7.85 def South 9.3.57

Fitzroy 11.10.76 def Richmond 8.8.56
Essendon 10.12.72 def South 4.15.39

The Bombers players had a big brawl after the Richmond game and there were serious match fixing allegations thrown around. From memory quite a few of their players never played again due to this.
