I don't get emotional after 1 game! However, need to be realistic after 4 games & say we are in big strife at making the finals. Need to be a minimum of 4-7 at the half way mark to make the finals IMO. Wouldn't be putting my house on it!

I honestly can't see how we can win this game. I think you blokes will win and win well by a margin closer to 100 points than 1 point.

Anyway here is a possible Richmond side. (The side I'd like to see which means it won't happen)

F - Schulz - Brown - Campbell
HF - Coughlan - Morrison - Fiora
C - Roach - Johnson - Tivendale
HB - Chaffey - Gaspar - Zantuck
B - Hartigan - Hall - A.Kellaway
R - Ottens - Newman - Krakouer
INT - Hilton - Tuck - Bowden - Marsh
In - Hilton, Tuck
Out - Hyde, Pettifer

Kretchy, would the Tigers be better off with Coughlan starting on the ball?

Both teams should be unbelievably desperate considering the season is on the line.

Possible matchups:

B - Hentschel - Begley - Massie
F - Schulz - Brown - Campbell

HB - McLeod - McGregor - Gallagher
HF - Coughlan - Morrison - Fiora

C - Reilly - Stenglein - Burton
C - Roach - Johnson - Tivendale

HF - Johncock - Perrie - Jericho
HB - Chaffey - Gaspar - Zantuck

F - Carey, Welsh, Bode
B - Hall - A.Kellaway - Hartigan

R - Clarke - Ricciuto - Edwards
R - Ottens - Newman - Krakouer

I: Hudson, Smart, Doughty, Torney
INT - Hilton - Tuck - Bowden - Marsh

IN - Perrie, Reilly, Torney
IN - Hilton, Tuck

OUT - Stevens, Bassett, Schuback
OUT - Hyde, Pettifer

I think that Schuback does need a run in SANFL but there is a fair chance that he will be kept in the side. We are playing at the Telstra Dome and you probably need a bit of pace on that ground. I would keep him in. Torney still has a fair way to go before he reclaims some match fitness.

Would be happy with that as long as the other 2 changes are made. Sarge must play!

Coughlan was on The Sunday Footy Show and said he wasn't carrying an injury but there has been a lot of talk that he is OP I reckon we'd be better off resting him but I can't see Frawley and Co biting the bullet. He's struggled this year whether its because of an injury or more expectation on him I can't be sure perhaps a combination of both. He didn't have one clearance on Sat. night which was his strength last year so I've got him playing across half-forward which at least gives us someone who'll work hard to keep the ball in the area.

Until Sat night Johnson had been our best player for the season and needs to start in the middle. Krakouer deserves some reward for consistent performances. Newman will tag someone, I know McLeod has been struglling with form but I think he can be more damaging than Ricciuto and is the one that needs to be watched closely. Having said that Newman would be better suited to playing on Riccuito.

a true test of character for both clubs this week.
both fwd lines are very similar and are pretty evenly matched.
both midfeilds have some quality but both have players who are down in both form and confidence.
where i think the crows will have the advantage is in the backline.lets face it our backline with a half fit gasper isnt much chop when you consider geelong dbled their goal tally for the season in just one match.
im hoping we win but i just cant see it.

cheers!

Sad to hear Cogs has OP. In a bit of a catch-22 in that you need to play him, but his injury then won't get any better.

Believe me, you need to worry more about nullifying Roo than Macca, though he really overdue for a big game. Showed signs against the Saints of getting some of his magic back.

Krakouer looks like he is taking the next step, but it's a pity the same can't be said about Pettifer! Did Bowden play a shocker on the WE, as he would have been close to your best the previous week?

I agree.

I would be tempted to drop Smart (I know it won't happen) and bring in Bock

IN: Perrie, Reilly, Bock
OUT: Stevens, Bassett, Smart.

Yep a shocker from Bowden which is the reason he copes so much stick from the tiger fans because he can produce a best on ground performance for us one week and then play a shocker the next week. Really frustrating when a bloke has a heap of talent but doesn't get the best out of himself consistently. Pettifer didn't get a heap of ground time I wouldn't be suprised if he gets another chance this week. Another frustrating player features regularly in the best in the VFL but can't do the same in the big league is too easily intimidated.

My boys from punt road will play the crows back into a top 8 form.

We have a great habit of getting teams back onto the winners list, crows fans after your big win this friday night you will all look back at the end of the season and pin point this game as the one that turned your season around.

The tigers will be lucky to win another game this year and who ever loses to us needs a bullet.

I'd like to see Carey, Smart and Perrie play this Friday. Carey is doing a reasonable job in providing a target, if only our midfielders could provide some nicely directed kicks to him instead of high bombs on the time.

Smart had an ordinary game but is our most experienced defender, I'm not willing to dump him just yet.

Perrie frustrates me but I really think he has something to offer and is one of the few guys in our team that can take a contested overhead mark.

If by round 11 we only have 1 or 2 wins then by all means start playing Rutten, Hudson, Schubank, etc. In the meantime I think we're playing some good youngsters in Reilly, Jericho and Hentschel.

Crows by 31 pts if we cant beat this group of players that are playing worse than us and with Stafford,Richardson missing we deserve to be in 16th possie;)

Well this just about says that Schuback SHOULD stay in the side.

Knowing how desperate AFC is we will give Burns a run.

At least you had the guts to refer to them as your boys!! ;)

Without being denigratory to the Tigers you're right. Their form has been terrible with 2 exceptions for almost a season.

Conversely all of Adelaide's last 3 losses have been to teams that have won 10 of their 12 matches for the year, and not by big margins.

Adelaide should win this game and if we don't we're not going to win many at all for the year.

I guess your nic and your heartfelt wishes are one and the same "Coach Required' ??

This has danger game written all over it. Why?

The Melbourne papers have been awash with "Richmond in Crisis" type stories. That is worrying. Rohan Connolly reckons the club should announce now that Frawley won't be re-appointed for next year, reckons that they have sub-standard players - named names to boot. Terry Wallet says that they play too safe, don't take risks.

Nothing more galvanising than being written off, with the added support of a home crowd to roar them along (they might eat their own at Tigerland, but when they get a sniff, their fans are very loud). I know the same pressure is on in Adelaide, but home city advantage might mean something here.

I agree 100%

AFC have copped a fair bit this week but nothing compared to what Tigers are copping in victoria.
