Wow, this team won a flag a couple of years ago. Would now be challenging the dogs for worst premiership team ever.
Bubble may have burst for them but they did make finals a few years running in the lead up before 2016 and then magnificent regular season the following year and unexpected prelim loss. That's a lot more than the Dogs achieved outside there flag.

Looking through their injury list, it’s mostly key position players that Richmond are missing, but it’s between the arcs that they are struggling the most. Unless Martin and Cotchin are dominating Richmond struggle, and they’ve been shown up a number of times against teams with strong midfields. Playing a virtually injury-free Geelong team was always a perfect storm.

That Lynch contract is going to bite them IMO. They overrated their list, and jumped onto whichever A-grader wanted to join first, which just happened to be a KPF. They could have easily developed Balta in this role, and saved the cap space for a midfielder. Prestia, Ellis et al don’t cut it as second stringers.

They do have some decent young mids coming through with Stack, Ross and Naish, but they’re still years off producing consistent footy.
We're missing Lambert whose stats for possessions and clearances are similar to Selwoods and young Ross, who was averaging three clearances a game. We're also missing our ruckman remember - pretty important for mid-field performance!

Nankervis would be lucky to be in the best ten rucks in the league.

Very overrated.

If you took the best 6-8 players out of any team they'd seriously struggle against the top sides in the comp, even if they have all that structure (the media rambles on about constantly) in spades. The tiges are not in an enviable position right now with their injuries and it showed last night. They'll be back, but this is not going to their year IMO.

You mean, if you take out 2 or 3 of their best players, 2 or 3 C graders and some fringe players...
