Yeah, apologies, thought he was talking about flight time. They do pass through two time zones and it does have an effect.

Jetlag is more than 6 time zones... 2 not a chance... it’s like saying we get jetlag when we change to daylight savings...
End of Jetlag comedy show.

Not travelling, sleeping in your own bed, getting into your own car, parking in the same spot, playing in familiar environment, basically having the same training and game day routine 7 weeks in a row in the most fatiguing part of the regular season.......it isn't much of an advantage. Ok

cut the genuine home advantage bulls**t. there's no denying the tigers have the best preparatory conditions in the latter half of this season to make an assault on the premiership.

and it's not a knock on the MCG being their home ground. just don't deny that playing every match at the same home venue for just about 2 months or 14 or so matches over the season there is a welcomed quirk of the fixture for richmond.
Interstate sides traveling half the season is what they do, it's been that way since inception of every interstate side, it's now ingrained into the clubs football/coaching structure and players own individual preparation, and they handle that side of the game far more efficient than Victorian teams on the road.

Eagles fans have really lowered their colours in this thread. Could win free kicks 50 to 1 and they’d still be berating the umpires for that 1 free against them.
That non holding the ball call on Willie Rioli that somehow was deemed push in the back then a goal at a crucial stage, you lose any right to complain about copping the rough end of the stick at that point.

It’s been scientifically validated in statistically robust sleep studies that jet lag (fatiguing changes to human circadian rhythms) are more pronounced when flying EAST.
That the Eagles have had to push s**t up hill in this regard and still win premierships is a testament to this club. It has always set the bench mark for the comp.
As for the umpires, my subjective opinion is that they are cheating VFL campaigners. But hey, that’s not statistically valid.
There you go you can console yourself with this. You go Glen Coco.

The earth is a globe. They should fly west to get to Melbourne. They won't have the fly-east jet lag.

No, no, don't thank me. I'm happy to help.
Don't forget they're behind us time-wise, so far behind they still think the earth's flat.

One thing that's been underrated is how much the Richmond KPPs at either end were far better than their Eagle equivalents.

Grimes and Astbury destroyed JK and Darling, even though Darling pinched a lucky one to start the game.

Meanwhile McGovern and Barrass where easily beaten by the influential Lynch and Riewoldt who combined for 5 goals including the matchwinner.

A lot being spoke about Hutching's injury and the rain clouds and jet lag, VFL umpires etc. But very little about our KPP dominance on the day.

How about you actually comment on the post? I'm saying there was poor umpiring both ways. It's your fellow Richmond fans who think they got a bad run even though it's the first free kick count they won in how many games?

You dish out the same tripe week after week. Even now on the Eagles board you're bemoaning the fact that the cokeheads got hard done (they didn't). Let's just replay the 2x riewoldt, soldo non-mark, lynch mark non whistle, rioli goal in the last, darling goal in the first. How many more do you want??

This is why a Grand Final rematch is so salivating, especially on a dry deck. West Coast played like absolute dogs bollocks all over the ground yesterday and only lost by a kick - how much of that was down to Richmond/ weather and how much of that was the team being off? Would love to see two fully fit sides going at it to find out the answer.

Hows that Rioli free kick against Caddy that swung the momentum back in their favour in the 4th qtr .... in the back LOL

* off Rioli tried to evade the tackle and Caddy caught him, Rioli knew it so flung himself in the air to draw a free and the dumb arse umpire fell for it.

On a dry deck we will beat you, it's quite insulting that the rain is being used as an excuse. You wont kick 7 goals to 3 in the 1st quarter on us again. We would kick a lot straighter in dry conditions too

Do you fail to comprehend english? Serious question

Yeah but that's because they are better in wet conditions. Barrass and McGovern aren't great shut down defenders. Their best asset is their intercept marking abilities and they couldn't display that because of the conditions

On a dry deck we will beat you, stop using the rain as an excuse. You wont kick 7 goals to 3 on us again.

Dunno about that. Clean possession on a clean day? Im intrigued to see how both our gamestyles hold up when both teams get the opportunity to play the way they want to.

Even with the dive it was still a textbook tackle. Rolled him in the air and got him in the side. To say it was a baffling decision would be understatement of the year.

3.4 to 1.1 second quarter says other wise and it's quite insulting to be using 1/2 a game of rain as an excuse.

You beat WC by one goal.....on your home deck. Jeez Juss, you are carrying on like it was a ten goal drubbing. What happened last year on our deck, now that was a drubbing. I thought you were better than this dribble. It was a great game.

Its also quite insulting to tell us "you wont kick 7 to 3 against us again". That was in the dry playing our bread-and-butter. Absolutely we can do it again if conditions suit.

Lets just both get to the Grand Final and see what happens.
