Yep. VFL players can't hit kicks or handballs when the pressure comes. All the players need to do vs the Saints is do their role and if no injuries, there has been no one today in the VFL that has stood up and put their hand up.

s**t 3rd quarter which has given Coburg a sniff. Hands were good in traffic and they opened us up with quick movement. On the flipside our movement was stagnant and this resulted in overuse of the ball in the middle.

Garthwaite looked unsettled up forward not knowing when to lead and where to position himself. Chol continues to struggle to get his head in the game.

Need a couple of early ones to stop Coburg from getting the win.
Obviously following the senior team to the letter!

Interesting game. Apart from the final quarter when the pressure really dropped off, we didn't play much like you'd expect from a Richmond side (both VFL or AFL) over the last year or so. The run was missing, decision making was often sloppy and involved bombing the ball long, and the forward pressure wasn't quite there for a lot of the game. A lot of that can be attributed to the amount of important VFL players that we were missing (Miles, Miller, Bolton, Moore, Menadue, Higgins, AFL cameos such as BEllis, Rioli was gone after half time, and Stengle was pretty ineffective after hurting his leg) who really drive the way that we play. It was nice, however, to see some other players really stand up and get us the win: CEllis was great, Coleman-Jones, Balta, and Chol all dominated the air in the final term to really clinch the game, and Baker was ridiculously busy for much of the game. Rioli and Stengle both had great first halves but were either benched or hobbled for much of the second half. Thought Naish played a good game as well, there's definitely a lot to work with there - has class.

Did Rioli get injured or just rested second half? I hope he is back next week for Dreamtime, any hope of that you think?
I seem to remember a commentator saying he had the pill 10 times in the 3rd, and was rested in the last. Not sure he is ready, but will be interesting call for next week. Dont think there is any issue on injury for the foot, just whether he can run a whole game out.... which could though be a worry for soft tissue

Both Cellis. D Markov in our bests

Must be close to a call up...especially Oleg

After a few good weeks by Conca, once again a few horrendous decisions/disposals by him just further reinforces the fact he is a C+ player. Would be happy for CEllis to come in for him this week (assuming the Meatball is still not ready).

BEllis lifted after a few weeks in the VFL... he stays.

Oleg a chance for Houli.
