Hey NUMBNUTS,im not just blaming our def. Just saying that HOOKER is a total spud and this 2012 list needs a ******* good shake up!
**** off idiot, what was Hooker meant to do if the Tiger mids hammered the ball into their 50 at will? Not even Scarlett or SOS would have coped tonight with the pathetic midfield effort. Hooker was okay tonight, not a ****ing spud like you say he is

I am yet to be convinced that T-Bell should be our No 1 Ruck at the moment - Probably in another two years - But he was comprehensively outplayed by a mature ruckman in Maric.

Get screwed you clueless silly. Go back to your culture of "oi fellas, let's go shoot up" and don't ever come back here again. We'll be winning premierships before you sillys are hitting your next high (which is very ******* soon.)

GET THE **** OUT.

I enjoyed the fact that he managed to be ill informed, stupid, wrong and grammatically poor in the same post. And who in the blue hell is casserly?

We turned the ball over 40+ times, defensive side of centre.

AFL average is 20.

Now our defensive/midfield need to get rid of those who cannot kick.

It is imperative.

Hardingham, baguley, heppell, hibberd, hooker.

These blokes are entrusted with kicking the ball into our hands up the field. None of them can hit the side of a barn.

They might be able to find the footy, but they are butchering it.

Dempsey was horrible tonight too.

We need defenders that can kick. We are over loaded with players that cant

Another knee-jerk reaction. Seriously, we have recently had a spate of players who couldn't hit the side of a barn, and if we're being honest, even Jobe has kicked a few shockers of late. The lack of confidence has swept through the side like vicious infection. For the first half of the season we had one of the highest disposal efficiencies in the league. This should be evidence enough that the players can actually kick a football. What impact, if any, does our worst injury toll in recent memory have on the confidence of a team in their own bodies and their abilities? We are actually overloaded with psyche destroying injuries.

Meh as I said before this match, I would have rather us lose. We were about as much chance of getting in the 8 as I am of winning a singing show.

The positives

- Better draft picks!
- O'Brien is a gem, good late find in the draft
- Melksham was very good tonight
- Heppell in the midfield
- Hurley at FB! Finally!

The negatives

- God aren't we feeling the effects of going KP, KP, KP...we need midfielders!
- Dempsey's kick-ins....did he kick one to an Essendon player all night
- Soft, and this in the week Neagle passed away. This playing group is just poor!

Wish I hadn't gone at all. Worst capitulation in a season in recent memory. We were cooked after the first five minutes.

Heppell played his finest game in a couple of months. I still think he's lacking his usual confidence, class and poise when disposing of the ball but when the whole team is depleted of any belief, I suppose it makes it all the more difficult to recapture. Alas, I thought he was arguably our best contributor tonight.

O'Brien kicked his first career goal and looked fantastic in that opening quarter. With more experience and added aerobic fitness, I could certainly see him running out games far more impressively. He's able to read the play quite well and he often manages to get himself into dangerous positions which is a good sign. Browne continued his good form and hopefully with another uninterrupted pre-season under his belt, he'll begin to cement himself in the seniors on a more consistent basis.

Monfries kicked three goals and was one of our better performers, Baguley attacked the contest, regularly won the football in congested situations, and played very well. I'm not yet entirely convinced we should upgrade him, but he impressed with his willingness to put his body on the line for his teammates tonight. Hooker did the best job that he could possibly do given the circumstances. He hardly had any assistance from the other defenders in terms of a third man imposing himself on the contest to inflict spoils and kill the contests, he was burned quite a few times by the midfield making inexcusable errors by hand and foot, and to keep Riewoldt to merely three goals from more than seventy inside forward fifty entries is an admirable result. I know Riewoldt missed a few shots, but Hooker made it difficult for him the majority of the night.

Hurley played well in defense but we sorely missed his presence as soon as he was shifted from attack. Crameri tried hard but just didn't have his usual impact, and his set shots are becoming more erratic by the week. We only have one more week until our season ends, so although it's so disappointing and disheartening to witness our collapse during the second half of this year, I encourage all the supporters to watch the game next week. It'll be our last chance to see the boys for six months.

10.30pm next Saturday night can't come quick enough...bring on cricket season!

Besides the whole game being a disaster, that last qtr was comical!

Poor Jobe they have all cost him the Brownlow!

Yeah, spare a thought for Jobe. Brownlow night at mid-season he will have a seemingly unasailable lead and then have to sit there and endure any number of close-ups whilst it is whittled away round after round after round.

Ok I submit. I am Essendone for 2012.

Dempsey bad game tonight. My concern is Hird looks shot. No oomph at the press conference. We have hope for 2013 but Hird realises that he's just placed a whole lotta weight on his shoulders for 2013. Bad Bad strategy for a young coach.

That said James its not too late to get back on track. Just make some hard decisions. Clear out the duds and trade away some that get you what you need in return. Then deflate supporter expectations and say 'we're rebuilding and will have a real tilt in 2015.' Under promise and then over deliver. Its a concept that works for most CEO's.

For the last game, play a whole lot of young kids. Give Steinberg a go (even if he doesn't deserve it) just so that he gets a taste of what's needed to be competitive against the likes of Harry O.

We are where we are. Its not the Weapons fault, although anyone that goes by a name other than their Christian name is either eccentric, full of it or admired? The Weapon looks pissed (off).

Anyway bring on 2013. Let's hope we can do a trade and get a decent mid or by some miracle our 2011 draftees bloom over summer.

Hurley in the backline?

Not the sole reason. I actually prefer Hurls forward. If we are to win premierships we need a game-shaping, pack-busting forward. If JD comes on and Gumby reaches his potential then maybe he can be thrown back permanently but there are too many unknowns to assume that things will pan out that way yet.

ive always admired essendon because i think they are closest to the eagles in recruiting policy.you guys are like us in that you generally go for pure football talent.I.e if we need ruckmen but the best player available is a midfielder we take him.But seriously guys;Crameri and No18 say no more!! but Stanton?Monfries?Good footballers but soft as butter. But most importantly in defence Dempsey is Soft Soft Soft.Hes in the centre of your defence and he has NO physical presence.Add Pears who is soooooooo one dimensional {read left foot ] and that spells problems at the back.NO you dont need to mention Fletcher hes not a long term solution.
.You guys sadly miss Ryder.I dont think hes quite realised just how big and how hard he is to mark up on it yet but he does give you physical presence.Could somebody tell Casserley that theres more to receiving a handball and just as quickly flicking it on to the nearest person available regardless if he is 1m away, stationary,or surrounded by 3 of the opposition. At least have a quick look son.I hate ya guts but i admire your culture.

**** off ya tool. Stants and Gus are not brilliant players and both have their faults but being as soft as your ****, ain't one of them.

To come back into the best 22

Winderlich
Fletcher
Myers
Carlisle
Ryder

All Playing well below their ability/physically shot
Melksham: Refuse to believe this is all melksham is capable of. He will pull through.
Zaharakis: Needed some games in the magoos
Watson: Cooked.
Crameri: Half the man he was in rounds 1 - 9
Stanton: Suffering from tags. Won't get them if Zaharakis is firing.
Pears: Hopefully the preseason will see this guy get some confidence back.
Dempsey: Needs to string good games together.
Hocking: Need last years hocking back.
Hurley: Hopefully those schapoids will heal and he will be able to finally take a mark with outstreched hands.

How was O'Brien kicking his first goal (first kick in fact) and being completely pumped.. to run back and get a nice pat on the back from maybe 4 teammates.

Bunch of ****in carnts. I wanted to jump the fence and give the kid a gee up.

My other favorite moment was Leroy squibbing a contest against Houli.
