I'd say since the week Cuz arrived. What do you think?

The odds of having a let down following all this attention are pretty high IMHO.

I hope Newy and Cotch can keep the other boys' heads screwed on because the Saints at the Dome is a tough ask. If we do have a day off, let's just hope they have the maturity to bounce back.

For a team that has been so unbelievably ordinary for so long I reckon we get more than our fair share of media attention.
We're always only a big win or a big loss away from being everywhere .

Yep, and not rating it to be honest. As supporters, avid followers and educated watchers, we know exactly where we're at and don't need half-baked opinions from all sorts of wanna-be journalists thinking they've just jumped onto a scoop. Kingy on the HS website yesterday particularly shit me. He's been the first to go the bag ever since we got rid of his useless arse. Now he wants to jump on? Piss off hero.

Last thing we need is too much air in the tyres of our young brigade. Feedback will be that they're professional, level-headed, Hardwick will keep them grounded..ya ya ya. We're still 12th on the ladder FFS.

We know we're on the right track, but still relatively at the beginning of a long journey. Wish it would all pipe down.

Where's Ricky Nixon to take some interest away?

I've definitely been hearing plenty about us, even in Adelaide, strangely they've been awfully quiet about the crows this week :D

Yep he's definitely jumped on the bandwagon. One interesting thing he said yesterday was that we've turned over 28 players since he left. That's a significant number of players. It's indicative of our ability to develop players. I feel like now our players have a better understanding of a sound structure created by Dimma and co and the development will progress accordingly.

happy to have bandwagoners in the media, because we have been down that long to know who really is a supporter and who isnt.

dose any one think Dermie is just taking the piss out of our club ? should never have given him a membership and for it to be handed by a player too...

If the boys are hungry enough the media garbage is irrelevant. Internally their confidence is up but they must contain that hunger and not think we have done enough, I think our players are sick of losing and have a taste for winning, all positive signs for me.

Game this week is massive for the team, but if you think we are in the news this week, watch them carry on next if we win on Friday.

I don't like it when the media is like this. All ive ever known in my life is when Richmond gets built up by the media we fold like cards the week after.
The first time i can remember this is RD 22, 1998 im pretty sure. Needed a win against the Dees that day to make the finals and we got crushed :(

I seriously can't think of a time when the media has praised us and hyped us up so much and then we deliver on the field that same week

Best line from from the week was from Weatley saying-

"Great story was on the way home after the game on the Epping line, The Tiger faithful belted out the club song loud and proud for the entire journey, except for when the train pulled up at Collingwood and they all paused and ceremoniously booed"

Yeah. Let's just enjoy it. As long term supporters through some hideously bad times, we've earned the right to a few self indulgent pissing in wet suits moments. This time round, however, I'm confident that the media hype won't influence the people who really matter - i.e the players and the coaching staff. Success to me is continuous improvement and that's exactly what we've shown as a club over the last three years. I'm happy now but can't wait for what the next few years under this regime will reveal.

Yeah it's weird. Everyone is accusing us Richmond supporters of carrying on over one win but it's everyone else who are over the top.
Every radio show and bloody TV show, mates texting and emailing to say wow how's those tiges!
Do you think maybe they're all a bit sick in the head and get a perverse pleasure out of the old build em up and knock em down thing LMFAO.
I've never seen so many people going out of their way to lavish praise on the tigers... It's become a bloodsport!! **** off you bunch of pricks.I hope it backfires and we keep winning.

Media is always the first to build us up and lay the boots in when things turn sour. It's cause we sell papers, always have, always will. I take it all with a grain of salt, good to read some stories but opinion pieces by "experts" who change their mind like the wind.... I don't take much notice. Anyway I'm gonna enjoy this ride, we've been down for so bloody long it makes me sick. Ive got access to the rooms tmrw night so I'm gonna lap it up and enjoy the ride, strap yourselves in boys and girls we're only just starting...

If we win tomorrow the approach from media and mates will veer slightly on a different course because they'll genuinely be shitting themselves that this might be fair dinkum.
Keep on winning after that and the texts and emails will dry up.

Get in a real roll and everyone will hate you like you've never felt before lol.

The day to enjoy is when we're hated again. All this media is just patronizing because they really think we'll tip over. Even Robert Walls is writing feel good stories. He hates Richmond almost as much as he hates Essendon.

2013 or 2014 onwards is our time. Let's just not let the media build up mean that we get too down on the boys if they have an off night.

Correct RD. When the rest of them realise that the RFC are serious the mood will change.

Most don't really understand the reality of the Tiger Army on the march. Noisy, swaggering, full of ourselves and totally dominating the athmosphere at more or less every game. They will soon learn to dislike the rising Tiger with all the emotion their precedessors had when we were kings.
