Why do we need another tall defender? Schoey, Gilly, Gibbo. Lisle, Dowler etc etc (not including Croady) There's only one possie we need back up for.

Rather than creating a post for every player out there, at least look at what they might add and give some reasoning behind asking the question in this forum?

I can't say I ever really noticed Hughes being trialled as a KPD for Richmond, he was generally up forward. What's his speed and acceleration and his body-work like? His leap and contested marking? His kicking, hand-balling and tackling? His fitness levels and strength?

Then ask which position he's going to be playing in (FB, CHB, 3rd Tall Def) and compare him to who we've currently got in those positions (And as a backup) and whether he'd make it into the team to beat those guys out of a position. If you can answer all that, then yes, make a post :)

I read up on him on Monday on the Richmond board in their player discussion board.

Seems Hughes lost his way with his application ect. last year and nobody over there seemed suprised with this. Tigers supporters floated the reason why this was the case but you guys can read it for yourself.

Don't think the reason needs to be posted on our boards since he is not part of our playing group.

Good luck to the kid.

Has the turning circle of a Mack Truck. If he is to get a second chance it will be with Port as he kicked 6 straight against them in 2008. Apparently got mental issues after seeing Polak being hit by a tram. Go figure! Not sure who started that one or if it is true or not but has been on our board for over a year.

One thing for sure is that he was a socialite and spent more time on face book than in the gym.

I can understand himm getting delisted after not playing a game this year but you've gotta wonder why he wasn't given a run in such a great team. Wallace is a tool.

Hughes is a natural leading forward. I think he has a bit of talent but the fact that he played out this season in the Coburg reserves suggests that he is wayyy of the mark. I've heard a few whispers that suffers depression as well but that could be completely untrue.

More to the point. There is no way that he will ever become a key defender, let alone a key defender that would get selected over Gilham, Gibson or Schoenmakers.

Brad Ottens & David Rodan.. are the only ones i can think off.. that resurected there career's.. other then that.. dont know any1
Brad wasn't really a reject. Cats paid 2 first round picks for him I think...

I'll pay Rodan. Always thought he was a real goer at the Tiges though.

Not sure on Cleve Hughes though...

yeah D.Rodan was a good burst type player.. u know come of the bench kick a goal.. as for Cleve Hughes.. i think he is very versitile.. can play either end if needed.. so if we were 2 pick him up.. he could be more then a handy utility (Y)
