look at the sort of teams richo has had to play for, teams which have finished between 9-16 his whole career. Remember that the one year he actually had a midfield that became competent (95) he got injured in round 6. Till that point that season he was in sparkling form too.

Carey played in a team with good quality midfielders, a great coach, great supporting players in mcKernan, & Longmire - and a team which regualry competed in finals and grand finals.

Richo has had a midfield which struggled to kick straight, can't hit targets, kick it over his head, poor coach's, fickle supporters, his teammates wivies aren't worth shagging....


Richo has been the best player to play for richmond in the past decade and maybe even beyond into the next decade. Respect people. He is one of ours born and bred.

While i don't agree with all the Richo bashing, i don't really think the comparison with Carey is a good one. One thing Carey did better than any other player I've seen is bring the ball down to his teammates advantage, even when double or triple teamed in a marking contest. So even if Carey had no chance of goaling himself, he gave his side the best opportunity to get one. Those are the sort of things you'll never see in any stats sheet.

He kicked the 3rd most goals in the comp last year on average. If you think our current side can afford to lose that you lads are mistaken.
