Yes its more recurring themes then actual plots. Show hasnt really developed any new recurring themes yet nor played on old ones in the first 3 eps.

The episode basically reinforced what a manipulative arsehole Rick is.

Setting up the whole heist scenario, so that Morty can hate heists and not have a successful pitch at Netflix. Doesn't seem all that random of an episode..

Season isn't doing it for me so far. First two episodes were alright but just lacking a bit on the humour side so far. It's good having Jerry more involved this season.
