Hi Guys,

At the start of the season Rick Hart stood before the Freo Faithful and promised the world - he said there would be "no excuse for failure in 2008" they were his exact words.

Here we are heading into the final round and we are staring at a bottom 3 finish and another wasted year in a season that promised so much.

Given that there was no excuse for failure, and we have failed, why wont Rick Hart do the honourable thing and stand down as a club Chairman.

Regardless of what your views on Rick Hart are - he promised success, but delivered failure.

In fact, Rick Hart was Chairman of a board that allowed another board member to announce his intention to resign and they stay on the board for another 4 months - INCOMPETANT.

Cameron Schwabb has left the club and moved to a rival club and Schwabb is taking our confidential information about player negotiations and corporate sponsorship with him - DISASTER.

Hart failed to deliver on his promise, and he failed to protect the interest of the club.

His head must roll. Dont blame the coach - blame Rick Hart.

He didn't promise success.. he just said there was no excuse for failure. There is no excuse. Simple as that and no one is trying to find an excuse. Stfu for once in your dull boring insignificant life.

I have to agree with you with every word you said. Rick Hart is the Western Austalians version Eddie Maguire! He only cares for himself. He only cares for his ego. His Attitude is not what we need at our Club. Kick him out and bring in a Former Freo player to replace him like Ben Allan or Shane Parker.

If he refuses to step Down as chairman, We Should protest to prove we dont want him!

I'm not even going to bother with this one, but seeing as it's spelling night here on the Freo board, GJ, can you please at least spell Schwab (that's right, just the one b) correctly when you are bagging him. It's really not that much to ask.

Eddie Maguire has a strong knowledge of footy and the media though. Rick's strengths seem to be in white goods and backing slow horses.

Maybe we should get one of those mind erasers, you know the ones the Men In Black use,so when all these coaches, players, admin staff etc......move they won't take secrets with them.
All clubs pump up their club at the start of the year for example up the road said they're looking at top four and that they where looking at resting Kerr during the season so he is fresher for the finals.
I can't see what he has done bad enough that he has to go.

Why would you be concerned about the information he has? We are a failure right? Well, surely the information he has is only going to make them even bigger failures than they already are?

mate schwabb obviously would have information on what we were playing everyone on our list up until last year.
So what. Warnock, who was being spoken about long before Schwab left (yes GJ, even your second personality should be able to spell it properly) and Mundy are the only half way to decent players out of contract. Things will change beyonds Schwab's knowledge in the next 6 months and his precious info is worthless. If a player wants to go to Melbourne then good luck to them. They're going to need it.

I don't like how we have a fat, old man as the president of a sporting club. Surely we could get someone who is fit, good looking and a mover and shaker... I'm thinking a modern, good looking version of Alan Bond. Yeah.

I'm busy.....before anyone nominates me.... :p

Rick Hart it is time for you to step down. We have gone backwards under your stewardship. The situation with the resigination of Cameron Scwabbb should have been nipped in the bud. Cameron should have been shown the door the day he resigned. You did not have to be a genius to work out that Cameron was highly likley to join his best mate Chris at Melbourne despite the crap he was spinning about being uncertain about his future plans.
Once again you did not take the tough decision when it was needed. Do you think a team like the Pies would have allowed a caretaker CEO for what amounted to be for the bulk of the season? Not a chance. Say what you like about Eddie but he gives the Pies great leadership.
If we we were a public company you would have been sacked well before now.
The fish always stinks most from the head so Rick please do the right thing and step aside, and let some one else have a go. If you don't go then the Board should sack you.

You have an interesting definition of backwards there.

Interesting

Lots of bickering and attacks but no reasons why Rick Fart should stay...
Maybe because we've had the same discussion with the same people a hundred times before? The only people posting in this thread are those with an axe to grind.

Hart is not going anywhere, regardless of what anyone thinks. Deal with it and move on.
