He'd want to. He has the skills but i'm not overly confident he'll make it. He'll need to be fully fit for a start though which i've heard he wasn't last season.

Its all up to him now, he's been given plenty of chances. In saying that, I feel all it would take is one of these kids to make in instant impact and his spot will be in jeapordy almost instantly.

I haven't seen him play well 2 weeks in a row, but there are times when he really oozes class. Consistency is the key.

Damn, that is going to start again soon isn't it. Spent waaaaayyyyyyy too much time on it last year. Although I finished pretty well so I guess it was worth it

Ive got no doubt that if he is given a consistent run in the midfield and his fitness improves he can establish himself in the 22. His skills by foot are execptional and has decent leg speed as well.

Bit more game time would help his causes. Of course that comes from fitness and other aspects of footy.

Also from what people have said about him is that his defencive game needs a lot of improvement, is he working on that during the practice matches/training? I know he's been in the modified group but once he's fit a bit of feedback would be appreciated.

I think this could be his year, all he needs is consistincy.
He has so much talent & class and his pace is exceptional.
May need another year to mature in the seniors and then we'll see the rewards

Best footy player I ever saw at school. Other players have recently come out of my old school (parade college) and no one looks like they will ever be as classy as Ricky. It was widely accepted that he was the most skilled player since Blake Caracella finished. Also played at the Knights with Stanton, so hopefully they will be able to team up in the midfield like they did for many years during juniors. Just need some game time, but may be fighting Winderlich for a spot.

I don't want him in the midfield, IMO he's perfectly suited for a wing. Fast, good handling skills, booming left foot and an exceptional kick on the run.

I wonder if Kevin Sheedy will see it that way?
I reckon he'd be good in both positions, but i think the Wing suits him.

I don't think midfield and wing are mutually exclusive, especially in footy today.

Sorry to bump this back up but if he is fit and ready to go come round 1 will he be an auto inclusion into the the 22 or will he be relying on good NAB Cup performances?

He'll definately need to prove himself, and is only just getting over a hamstring injury

He better be playing this year or i would be very dissapointed, he Lovett and Hird are great to watch. Has to string some games together and be fit enough to earn more game time. Pitty he's injured at the moment.
