I've waited a long time for this.
I curse Knights for getting him that last 2 year deal.
Dyson has given us nothing in the last 2 years except a freak goal from the boundry in a tight game...
A total ####ing waste of time...and draft pick.
And don't people jump to his defence. He's a professional footballer and a grown man. He would know his skills have limitations.
GWS will give him a fresh start and maybe he will have some good form here and there. Hope he picks up some decent coin and retires with something substantial in the bank.

Where do you think he should play? I don't think he has shown he can hold any position..I would give them our third rounder to take him and Welsh off our hands...If we get anything for Ricky we are very lucky...

Mate, I don't hate him. This is business, this is football. We can't waste our time with sub-standard players..and look how many years we have persisted with Ricky.
Sure, the coaches at the time took a gamble and try to develop him more. But it's the hard stuff he lacks. Stanton for example gets away with it because he's twice as fit and has better skills
He's just not a good enough footballer at leauue level. We all know that. Not for Essendon anyway.

Good on him! He will definitely get to play for atleast another 3 years if he gets a contract for GWS, He's a nice bloke and a handy player, very much undervalued. Remember Anzac Day '09? Who set up that play?
Dyson isnt ill... was named best player for Bendigo today... Robbo on SEN said the same rumour yesterday apparently that Dyson was dropped because he had signed with the Giants... seems this is pretty much on the money.
If we get a 3rd round comp pick for him we can always shop it around or even give it back to the Giants for one of their pre-listed players this year (like what the Pies did for Krakouer and Freo with Mzungu)
Dyson was probably a good chance to get delisted anyway so if we are able to get him to another club to continue his career then im all for that.

I did say IF, because he is still under contract and can be traded before that contract expires, has happened many times already, get with the program..
On the other hand I def. remember Hird saying he wouldn't drop a player who signed for GWS only for that reason. So I dunno know. Pretty strange
He said 'if' so he wasn't refering to the AFL compensation which is given to all clubs that lose an uncotracted player to the new franchises.
Well no, actually. Dyson cannot be traded before his contract expires. All AFL player contracts expire prior to the trade period.

As much as I have warmed to Ricky, if this were to be true, I would be as happy as I could be in losing a player. Clearly he is being phased out, so it will realy be no skin off our noses, knowing that when the end of next season rolls around, some of the big names we have coming out of contract are a no go for Sheeds.
