Riewoldt or Franklin??

Obvious choice is Buddy. However Riewoldt did have a briliant season and deserves a lot of credit. I would think the only player you can compare Buddy to ATM is the Abblet Jnr, even then given age factor its a push.

How about this 1. I think Buddy at StKilda would be a better option then Riewoldt at StKilda. Buddy would suite the Saints very very well and would fill alot of gaps.

Franklin reminds me of a young Richardson.

Riewoldt reminds me of a young Lowe. Depends what you like more in your CHF, but IMO Richardson > Lowe and Franklin will be better than Riewoldt in two years time. As for marking, Franklin does mark the ball you know.

Prophetic, one would say. Eh either way Franklin is a bona fide gun and has shown why hawks fans have a wet spot whenever they think of him.

how so? while i now conceed buddy can reach greater heights and probably will be/is a better player, i think nick is pivitol to our structure - imagine if we didnt have him? we would have charlie gardiner as our lead up target - meaning we would never get it inside 50 :o

for the record - it was 50% each when i bumped it today...already its clear that buddy is now the preferred

The fact that Riewoldt is averaging more marks per game out of anyone for the past 20 years (Richo 2nd ;)) is irrelevant?

You Hawk supporters crack me up. There is much more to a player than just kicking goals, how can it be irrelevant that he takes the most marks per game out of ANYONE for 20 years including Wayne Carey? lol yeah let's just ignore that :o
lol @ benny furs implying that others are biased.:o

No actually ur the one being misled, check the facts riewoldt is the best for contested marks.
franklin doesnt compare there.
:o
franklin is a better kick, how was that pearler in the first term i think, from the boundary, will go down as one of the greatest shots at goal for the comp soon.:thumbsu:

For sure, I always these 2 were the best comparison. People forget how damn good the young Bull was when he burst onto the scene, and snagged 91at a young age. Alot of parallels in their respective games.

Would not shock me if Nick had a better Brownlow year than Franklin. And, at good odds, too.

Both have the yips, but Riewoldt can win you a game from any position, not being just a front runner.
