Gee what a surprise.

Loved that sign I saw when leeds united toured here last year.
Rio is scum and he knows he is

Couldn't have put it better myself.
The guy is nothing but an self-obsessed, arrogant pr!ck and apparently is being sued by the manager of an hotel for trashing an pool table or something (read it off the The English Tabloid website so you can't be too sure though)

Championship medals won by Rio at Elland Road: none.

Championship medals won by Rio at Old Trafford: one.

I don't think Rio gives a f*ck what Leeds fans think.

At least we picked up an extra million pounds in his contract that Leeds get every time that United win the title with Rio in his side.
The guy is overrated and not worth the money Man U paid for him.
I reckon Japp Stam was a better player than Rio.

Don't you just love it.....Leeds fans have to cheer on United to help the financial situation of their own club. Heh, heh, heh.

By the way, I find it ironic that you're bagging Rio for leaving Leeds to go to Manchester United when you jumped off Geelong to go and support Carlton.

Oh, and Karl...where's the $50 you owe me back from a bet you lost on the 2001/02 season?

Okay, you're on.

My $50 says that Manchester United will finish above Leeds United in the English Premier League this season.

Cheat cheat cheat.

I can't see him getting any sort of ban, although apparently he has been dropped from the national squad for this weeks game.

Kind of funny the money that United paid for him when you consider his less than sterling form over the last few years (pro-United commentators were fuming at him in the CL match last week) and the fact that Leeds as a company is now worth less than a third of what United paid for him.

I have never been too impressed with Rio really, it annoys me that we paid so much for him yet every other Leeds player gets sold off at a pittance.

Exactly. He may be England's best defender but the money Man Utd paid was simply not worth it - even more expensive than the likes of Nesta and Cannavaro...

Ban him, ban him, ban him!

If the FA don't ban him for at least 6 months it will prove once & for all theat they are a biased & corrupt organisation.

I don't care if there defence is that he missed it by accident that's no excuse, if the police want to test you for drunk driving & you don't give a specimen then they do you the same as for a positive test.

They have to do the same here because for all we know he might have been on the charlie the day before & knew he needed another day or so to let it leave his system, we can't just assume that he was innocent.

Rio's so flash he probably thinks that he can get away with sh1t like this but let's nail the b@stard to let him know once & for all that him & his little rapist mates can't get away with thinking they can do whatever they want.

It'll be interesting, Sol Campbell looks like getting a 3 game ban for a gentle kick to Djemba-Djemba's arse whilst Rio will probably get off with a 'strong reprimand' & meaningless fine here.
Let's see if British justice can get it right for once.

I totally agree. A lifetime ban from playing for England will do me fine. In fact, ban every Manchester United player from ever having to play for England again....y'know, guilt by association.

You know it makes sense.

By the way, anyone seen Karl?

In one of the many Mirror articles on the topic they say that Rio was photographed shopping in Manchester on the day he was supposedly preoccupied moving house.

Another story has come out about a City player fined £2,000 for a similar missed test. Christian Negouai was allowed to leave the training complex to pick up his mother at Liverpool airport. The plane was two hours late, and the testers had left by the time he arrived back at Carrington.

The big differences as I see it between the two cases is that Negouai's story is a tad more realistic and checkable than Rio's, and it is also reported that he went straight to a hospital to give a urine test, as well as turn up 36 hours later for the official testers.

Touche!, but I think you know a nice domestic ban of a year would be well in order.

As it is it's the Man U mafia in the England squad led by the ******ed one who've whipped up all the trouble in the first place.

Maybe they should all go & play for Argentina to make their fans happy.

You know, it's just a shame that it wasn't a Leeds fan posting that. That way, I could have snookered them with "Ban Ferdinand? You mean that over-rated hack who always mistimes his tackles that lead to an opposition goal? Why would you want to hand an advantage to Manchester United by a forced ban of the uncoordinated defensive liability?

I think you'll find that the ******ed one is playing for Real Madrid these days.

Nah, we'll give that a miss. Those South American sides play way more internationals than the European teams.

And besides, West Ham are in the wrong division so we can't upset them with our new Argentina coloured away kits.

If he's gone to Madrid, then I'd guess that it'd have to be Atletico Madrid.

Yeah, you can't have these cliques when it comes to the national side. It's not good for morale. I reckon it's time to ban all Manchester United players from playing for England.
