Rioli or Rich? Which would you take?

Hard call. Absolutely love Bam-bam, but if I could have any youngster from another club, Rioli would be up the very top of the list. I'll say Rich because he adds an element to the Brissy midfield it was sorely lacking, and the one thing Rioli doesn't provide, those booming kicks. He's also stronger bodied and sticks tackles a bit better than Cyril. Long term, they'll both be in the competitions premier echelon of players ala the Voss', Buckleys etc.

Damn, this is a hard one. Both very good at the job they do.

Rich was probably a little more consistent this year and I think performed very well under the pump. In fairness Rioli blended into the Hawthorn line up in his first year beautifully too. Rich has leadership written all over him but Rioli IMO would be the harder player to replace in a side with his talent and temperament.

I'm sittin' on the fence o) unless I see some compelling arguements one way or the other.

This is not the ****ing bay. I didn't say Rioli couldn't tackle, or even that he wasn't as good as Rich. Rich is simply stronger & has more hurt factor about his tackling, he sticks them hard. I have no interest in having a Bay style argument here.

You'll excuse me for getting the shits when someone uses these boards in a manner another board is specifically set up to deal with. I'm happy to go toe to toe in a slinging match in the Bay. This board is set up for people to run a genuine poll and have a fair conversation about the question posed. If you want to have a poll and start tossing petty barbs and exaggerating shit out of any reasonable proportion to try'n belittle anothers opinion, as I said, do it in the Bay.

This board is set up to gauge opinion & allow people to discuss those opinions reasonably, without having to deal with people trying to big note themselves & put others down. It's not a matter of being precious. What gives me the shits is that there's always gotta be one like yourself, that tries to detract from a congenial conversation by making a **** of themself. If you can't articulately debate any point you may wish to make in here then keep your mouth shut. You wanna disagree in a reasonable manner I'll happily have the debate with you. Your disagreement doesn't bother me in the slightest, your attitude does.

Back on topic, Rich has a more powerful upper body than Rioli. While both are good tacklers, Rich has the power to, and has, picked up opponents and body slammed them on several occasions. Rioli has better leg speed and can chase/tackle better than Rich, but Rich's tackles hurt more.

There's parts of BF for having a crack and parts for seriously discussing footy. I would simply ask you to keep it in mind. If someone had said "Not bad points but i'd say Rioli is a better tackler" or something along those lines, too easy.

Despite my saying it's your attitude, not the fact you disagree, both of the posts immediately after try to contradict it. Try actually thinking about what's said rather than dismissing it and trying to pass me off as a sook (Bay style once again). I've made my point already, whether you chose to ignore it or not is out of my control. I think it's pretty ****ing ordinary that when you get supporters coming in and not just pumping up their own player you'd start with the Bay style garbage rather than have a genuine debate.
