What if they use marijuana in the off-season when it’s not considered performance enhancing? And live in a location where it’s legal?
What if athletes know the rules regarding banned substances and knowingly take them? No one is forcing these guys to play sport for a job. If they don’t like the workplace rules, don’t work there.

This is pretty simple.

it's great news.... no one should be sacked over weed

its legal in most normal places now

one day the nanny country will get with the times

imagine losing a gun player cause of weed.
They wouldn’t have given a sh*t if he didn’t have it on match day.

Legal in some places for recreational use, but banned on game day as a ped.

I don't know this as a fact, but I highly doubt athletes using it to cheat are sitting round a hookah, lost in obscure Pink Floyd experimental albums.

They would use very small, concentrated amounts to relax and improve their focus.

I am comfortable it's classified as a ped, regardless of some jurisdictions legalising or decriminalising it for personal use.
