I agree. I think AFLW should be using the same rules as AFLX on the same grounds. The issue for the AFL is that they don't want to have to pay to reset the ovals with new lines and move the posts because it's a big stuff around, so the women play on a full size field with less players and women aren't the athletes men are. It will not create as much of a spectacle as the men can on the full sized ground.I think there are elements of the AFLX game that should be considered for AFLW.
The AFL will officially remove AFLX scheduling from its pre-season fixturing.

"To focus on the women's game"
You know that the XFL returns next year, right?Lasted longer than Vince McMahon's XFL... >_>
I’d take the fewer players on a smaller ground part of AFLX, use that for AFLW, and ditch the rest.I agree. I think AFLW should be using the same rules as AFLX on the same grounds. If men don't play AFLX but that's what AFLW is, then it builds a brand of the game that can be played on smaller grounds that the women athletes can better show their flair. Unfortunately it will require money spent on rectangle grounds with AFL goals. It might mean we end up with a hybrid of AFL posts on top of soccer goals and a couple of extra behind posts each side that can be removed easily post game.
I didn't until today..You know that the XFL returns next year, right?
Looking forward to see what the afl come with next for us to complain about in February.
