Albert was a terrific player in the late 1950s, early 1960s. He was also a key player in the rise of North winning its first and second premierships. Vale Albert - a true Shinboner.

Indeed. A great shinboner. Genuinely important part of our 70s success. Vale and thank you Albert.

Lol. Delo and Daly were American comedians and were a pretty big deal here for a year or two, had their own show and we were mighty chuffed that Americans would want to make shows here- probably means they weren’t very good!

The North Melbourne Football Club is in mourning following the death of club great Albert Mantello in the early hours of Sunday morning.

VALE to a great North man. As my dad said “he was one of those car dealers who’d done extremely well for himself, setting up businesses which continue to aid his family’s success to this day and beyond.”

Condolences to the Mantello family.
 
A great man who helped shape the club in the 70’s.
Never heard a bad word about him, a true legend of North
