If this is true then it's a terrible shame that someone has died, Colin Sylvia played six games for Fremantle four years ago.

This is morbid interest issue, not a FFC one.

You seem like a person who judges a life based on that persons ability to bring joy to your own. If someone helps bring you happiness and say kick 600 goals then RIP, if they kick 4 goals, it's not something you remember so it's just a passing interest.

One day you will realise, 1 game makes you a member of a club for life and Whether you get 0 disposals or average 30 possessions per game, the human life is still worth the same

RIP Colin

Terrible news. Thoughts are with those close to him, and with those he represented including the Freo & Melbourne footy clubs.

Condolences to his family & friends from all walks of life.

Jeff White survives having a stroke and noone here cares.

'Death makes angels of us all and gives us wings where we had shoulders smooth as ravens claws.'

Taylor doing her best Silent Alarm impersonation by making this about her?

He didn't play very much for us, or very well, but he was a human and regardless of that it's a shame he's dead at a young age. He had issues and I think these issues become more obvious when someone dies. He seemed to have a lot of disconnect with his old man and clearly wanted to fix that.

He lived a flawed life but so many of us are.

We are entitled to feel a bit low even if we never saw the bloke, but for 100 metres away or on tele.

Tough crowd. Guess I won’t make my “Colin Sylvia casket” joke.

While players are old at 32 and quickly forgotten, in real life there should be plenty of more living to do. He’d made a few mistakes in his personal life but there was still time to turn it around. It’s sad that he never got the chance.

Always sad to lose any player, no matter how many games they played for us.

RIP sylvia. Condolences to his family

He seemed to be determined to get back on track and was loving life in the rugged parts of Victoria going by his Facebook and insta

Rest In Peace, I actually think of him when I’m driving random highways like Nicholson Road or Roe Highway - as I will always remember a 6PR interview where he and his girlfriend were shocked at how vast Perth is with the river dividing the North and South sprawl as they looked for a house
Very sad news - thoughts go out to his family. Taken away far too young.

I remember that interview with Brad and Karl at the back end of 2013. After that interview I thought he could be a handy acquisition. He never got going. Seemed to really enjoy the Gym but not the track. Pictures of him on Instagram after his first season working hard at a Gym back in Vic but just struggled with the fitness requirements and our game plan.

After a rocky start to AFL retirement appeared to be getting things on track. Just horrible to read of this car accident - RIP
