Terrible tragedy, I went to school with him, same class. I was the underachiever of the lot, Spud and Mona were the two that went on to achieve great sporting success.
Very sad day.

Shocking news
Had battled with mental health and depression over the years and genuinely seemed to be in a good place again.
Just this afternoon JB and Bill were playing the speech he did for Plugger at the St Kilda hall of fame on the rush hour.
I'll never forget the day he came to my high school and did a footy clinic, cut up rough then laughed when other kids raised their elbows and did the "Frawley" ear massage on other kids.

Was the type of guy that everyone felt they knew him. Really floored me this one...can’t believe it.
Being born in the mid 90’s Spud as coach is one of my earliest memory of Richmond, always been fond of him because of that, even if it didn’t end well. Vale Danny Frawley.

He stood up to coach us when frankly most wanted nothing to do with us, and handled his exit with dignity and respect because of his bond with our players. I will always be grateful for that, and today is a big loss not just for his family and loved ones, but the footy community

No doubt our players will be wearing black armbands. However, I also hope that on one side of our banner next match will acknowledge Frawley, his contribution to this club and to the game. A St Kilda legend but also a great servant of the Richmond Football Club. RIP.
