There will be plenty of tributes for him as the AFL commentator in the main board thread, but I think on the West Coast board he should also be remembered as a strong advocate for WA football, especially in a time when the VFL mentality was still very much accepted and West Coast were struggling to gain acceptance. In a way, he helped the pave the way for us, Freo and the true national competition we (almost) have today.
The best in my mind and a good bloke. As an aside i saw him play one game for Waneroo (Under a false name) he got rough treatment but played in the best of spirits.
