Very sad to see the passing of Heath Ledger at such a young age. I don't particularly care for all the Hollywood hype, but i had a lot of time for him. Good actor and I liked his no bull**** style.
RIP Heath.

Massive waste. The boy could act and I respected the way he stuck it to the paparazzi and refused to 'play' the Hollywood 'game'.
Aside from the last couple on the list of his movies that I saw - that's a massive body of quality work.
- The Patriot
- Two Hands
- Lords of Dogtown
- A Knight's Tale
- Brokeback Mountain
- Candy
- The Brothers Grimm
- Ned Kelly
- Casanova
- Monsters Ball
Btw, no illegal drugs found on the premises. Sleeping pills suspected.....but no news yet as to whether it was accidental or deliberate.
Been following it a little on TMZ today. An amazing amount of cant and recant of stories going on about Heath.
Celebrity News is everything in the US. I was there for a month about a year ago and their news stations cover things like this 24:7. Never mind any huge international headlines, Britney shaving her hair was more important.

Mind you, Crikey (which landed in my in-box about 40 minutes ago) has a minute-by-minute breakdown of how the story has been covered in Australia (including a screen grab of the Age website's headline: 'Dead in Bed') which suggests that news orgs here aren't much better.
And FWIW, I LOVED '10 things I hate about you'.

From memory of some article i read or saw Heath liked his sport so I hope he's up there with Clinton Grybus having a frothie or two. A couple of more stars in heaven.
They were saying his Joker role in Batman was his finest work. Going to put an even darker edge to it when I watch that movie. Terrible shame that we have lost him.
Nice mental image, Gab.
'The Noob's Lounge' in Heaven.
Grant McLennan playing a few tunes on the corner stage.
Hillary holding court with his fascinating stories.
Wasn't he working on a Terry Gilliam film at the same time? Not sure if that film was even finished and what the future holds for it now. Also said in a recent NY Times interview that the role took a lot out of him, and he was having trouble sleeping during the shoot.

RIP.
12 Monkeys, Brazil, Fear and Loathing and his Python movies all made money yes?Not finished - only early days into production as far as I'm aware. And a side note, has a Gilliam movie ever made money? Most of them bomb at the box office - yet producers keep throwing money his way to make stuff.
Here's a good Ledger site with slideshows & video tributes (Fairfax News/Digital)
