Other RIP Jack Pardee

One of the great linebackers in the 60s, a member of george Allen's Over the Hill gang, a NFL coach, and one of the bear's Junction Boys, Jack Pardee passed away yesterday at age 75.

Sad news.

Was Oilers coach when I started following the game early 90s. Must have been the only guy to have coached USFL, NCAA and NFL in the same city.

Likewise TGBB. I don't think there has ever was a HC who remained so positive after his team turned the ball over (with his outstreched clapping) and barely showed his disgust on the sidelines... sure do miss his calibre.

bump: I thought it's worth making a request to GG to re-title such threads of past players/ greats passing away with 'Another One Bites the Dust' ...

In the last 2 hours, one of the greatest LB's/ HOFer David 'Deacon' Jones from the Rams passed away from natural causes. He was 74. RIP Deacon. Dagless may be saddened as he won the Deacon Jones ND division title back in 2009.

Sad to hear about the passing of Deacon Jones, always enjoyed his comments on the game. Think that only leaves Rosey Grier from the Rams Fearsome Foursome still alive now.
