A NMFC player John Waddington passed away today at the age of 81.



He was the player That caused Essendon to stop the match and demand a head count by the umpires in the belief that we had 19 players on the field.

Played 132 games in the number 32 jumper between 1958 and 1966.

Was deemed BOG in Norths 1965 lightning premiership win over Footscray.

Left North to play for Benalla in the GVFL and won that competitions highest award, The Morrison Medal, in 1968.
