Wow, terrible news. I was always glad that after copping so much ******** for leaving ECW, he was able to come back to ONS in 2005 and put on a fantastic match and put it behind him.

This is very sad news I was a huge Mike Awesome fan when he was in ECW, his matches with Masato Tanaka were classic, and his last appearence with Masato was nothing more then fanstastic as well.

I wonder how Joey will be feeling at the minute? After that shoot on him at One Night Stand he'd be feeling pretty low at the moment.

RIP Mike, it's a shame WCW and the WWE had no idea, you were a talented worker.

RIP Mike. Another one lost too young.

His match with Masuto Tanaka @ ONS 2005 was a great postscript to his career.
