Tool South Adelaide from spooners to premiers in his 1st season coaching there in 64.

Haven't won 1 since.

Made Glenelg into a competitive finals side when he went there in 1967 and won them their first flag in 39 years 6 years later. His imprint is still on the club today.

RIP to SA’s Mr Football

I loved him boundary riding and when the play came close to him, you could hear him snarling at the Crows players to tear into them.

RIP

If memory serves me correct, he would usually always be riding the boundary when the crows played yeah?

Man the late 90s seem so long ago such a fantastic time for footy..memories.

Also the (in)famous tale of how when he was playing for Westies and they lost the 58 GF against Port due to hitting the post with 90 secs left.

After a few bevvies that night, he and some teammates jumped the fence at Adelaide oval and cut down the offending post.

A piece of said post still ( i assume ) sits above the bar at Richmond oval
